Tory Burch Pre-Fall 2014 Collection

Dots and stripes are everywhere! The impressive and noticeably minimalistic Tory Burch pre-fall 2014 collection is ready for our scrutiny. The Bauhaus photographer Gertrud Arndt was the primary inspiration for Tory Burch this time, who is especially noted for her self-portraits where she appears wearing dotted veils. Talking about her Burch notes, “I always loved her and never felt she got much recognition.” And explaining the choice of the looks, she added, “So there are dots in almost every look.”

So looking through the Tory Burch pre-fall 2014 collection, this black and white harmony is immediately obvious, though it’s not only the dots and stripes that characterize this line, but also some other brighter shades, too, the pieces presenting which acquire some more varied and classy shapes. So the looks start with the blend of dots and stripes, all put on the background of black and white. These drives are best reflected by the chevron pattern on a jacket, and a sweatshirt, which is paired with a polka dot-adorned miniskirt, and identically designed handbag. The reverse order of patterns is popular with the pieces, too, presented as a dotted T-shirt, and a stripy pleated tea length skirt. The flat shoes are exceptionally matching with these garments, too. The final options of presenting the dot themes is a cute tee dress of tea length, fastened with a brownish belt and having a sharp V-neck and another feminine variant being the Mikado dress with spectacular and random white dots on a black background.
After this, the designs are expanded to more sophisticated options with coats and dresses, as well as with color shades, and other silhouettes. Particularly, it’s the mix of a navy blue jumpsuit and a black jacket we encounter next, followed by a blend of black with green on another alternative for coats, as well as a similarly designed yet shorter cut jacket, paired with wide and a bit cropped pants. The continuation is marked with a tiny comeback of the dots, presented with just as tiny points on a black with floral top and a pleated bottom.
