We are so excited to realize that everything in our world is turning to democratic and cosmopolitan views. LGBT activism, racial approval and more widespread – the free choice of style without gender limitations and mixing any detail of creation that one would possibly imagine, are the greatest achievements of the twenty-first century. Of course, our favorite designers and fashion “directors” go with this humanist trend and offer solutions devoid of any discriminations. Our most beloved Vera Wang fall 2015 collection was the clearest proof of it. It was literally filled with incredible variants of mixes of masculine and feminine detail work and so is the new Vera Wang fall 2015 campaign. Once again going in for the basis of modern and timeless fashion – simplicity, the fashion house has created minimalist ads in black and white colors. The designer invited super powerful and very skillful staff namely the founder and chief executive of Box Pascal Dangin to be the art director of the ads, the brilliant, experienced and talented photographer Patrick Demarchelier and two rising star models Josephine le Tutour and Binx Walton.
The pictures of the Vera Wang fall 2015 campaign are exclusively simple with minimal décor and detail work, though they can be called anything but plain. Most of them depict the two models as a peculiar duo once again hinting on the lately quite popular idea of sister-friend collaboration in the campaigns of famous fashion designers. A notable fact is that in every picture we see that one of the models keeps direct eye contact with the watcher, while the other one looks away down or to the side. Everything is kept in white and black – the pieces, the pictures, the skin color of the models and even their hair: we are just speechless seeing such attentiveness to the smallest details keeping the connecting idea in literally everything. The black knee-long loose coat, the knitted sweater, the daring short straight skirt with floral embellishment teamed with the coolest leather boots of an armor could not look more fascinating than here. The strong enchanting features of the French 17-year old model Josephine and androgynous and at the same time irresistible look of the 20-year-old American model make the whole concept of gorgeous ease more than complete.
Look how striking the view in the picture is, where Josephine wears the totally manly suit and oversized loose classic straight pants with open midriff to show out her black lingerie! And the idea is enhanced hundred times with Binx standing next to her in a long daring-open black V-neck dress showing off just how much is needed leaving a good deal for imagination. Or can you reject your spontaneous wish to get that stunning long black knitted sweater that Binx wears as an overall dress? We are sure, not! This photoshoot does nothing but strengthens our desire for Vera Wang’s collection, which is surely the proof the ads’ aim accomplishment.
Though we cannot call this campaign extremely exciting from the point of view of colors and special effects, we do admit that it stole our hearts at first sight. We cannot resist the gorgeous austerity, which spreads over the pieces as well as the hair and makeup with wavy rock ‘n’ roll medium hair and never-getting-old pixie that makes everyone jealous. This is definitely the best indication of a genuine design sense, because far not anyone can offer such a variety of totally differing looks using this incredibly limited palette.
