Versace Resort 2018 Collection

For the Versace Resort 2018 collection, Donatella Versace got inspired by the City of Angels. She celebrated the unique spirit of LA’s diverse cultural scene. Donatella often times visits Los Angeles and the magnificent city stimulated her creativity to a whole new level.

The sunny relaxed vibe mixed with Hollywood glam is present all over the Versace Resort 2018 collection. Donatella sent an entire design team to research every fashion corner in LA in order to create a unique collection that represents the city in the best possible way. Looking at the collection it seems that Donatella Versace and her team had a lot of fun while designing the pieces.

The rock n’roll vibes in the collection came from Melrose Avenue’s vintage shops. The rebellious designs with metallic embellishments are definitely made for the fashionistas with a bold spirit. Donatella honored the Rock culture with a lot of black studded biker jackets, leather skirts and mini dresses with metallic decorations.

Donatella designed pinstriped suits to satisfy the needs of the LA downtown Financial District. For the most daring business women, she created a pinstriped power suit with lace decorations, a high side slit and a revealing crop top instead of a shirt.

Part of the collection features a lively and summery colors, prints and patterns. Simplicity definitely wasn’t on Donatella’s mind when she created the collection. The strong eye-catchy patterns are the highlight of the collection.

The night’s glamor has a strong street style vibe and is full of patterns and embellishments. The LA playful spirit radiates through the multicolored pleated skirts, bralettes and embroidered outwear. Versace’s bright eye-catching prints represent the heart of LA, the infamous Venice Beach. The embroidered palm trees, on the other hand, celebrate the famous wallpaper of the Beverly Hills Hotel.
