Versus Versace Spring/Summer 2015 Collection – New York Fashion Week

The Versus Versace by Anthony Vaccarello spring/summer 2015 collection took the runway at New York Fashion Week 2015 by storm with the exquisite, bold and provocative attitude all those stunning designs came embedded with! The collaboration between talented designer Anthony Vaccarello, famous for his extremely daring and sultry designs with lots of slits and skin-revealing cut-outs, and Donatella Versace, who is a famous rock chick that has founded Versace’s sister more youthful line Versus to create seductive and iconic pieces for the fashion-forward women, can definitely be considered the design teamwork of the year, as yesterday’s show was just a blast! “Working with Donatella was very organic,” stated Anthony, who was only 5 years old when he first show a Versace show on TV and got highly impacted by the brand. No wonder, the choice of a talented designer for a fashion house is the primary factor for presenting a winning collection during the fashion week season and we can rightly say Donatella’s choice was more than wise!

The Versus Versace by Anthony Vaccarello spring/summer 2015 collection seemed to be a celebration of the most iconic, timeless and versatile shades in the color wheel, black and white, since you couldn’t see any other hue than those two with the former one being the protagonist of the entire show. How can such simple all-black pieces look that sultry, impressive, cool and just gorgeous? It’s all because of Vaccarello’s talent to inject excitement into his creations, this time put as lots of gold details, medusa heads, belts, buckles, pins and clasps that made those body-conscious black dresses to-die-for items!
Firstly, it was the cavalcade of simplistic all-black pieces that stunned on the runway, coming with unexpected and quite daring slits and cuts and embellished with lots of gold accents that looked so harmonious with the overall style and mood of the designs. Then a couple of white looks also popped out, which were again adorned with the same gold motifs or some monochrome black-and-white curious patterns, which looked like colorless kaleidoscopes making one want to stare at them forever. Versace’s iconic Grecian key motifs were also there used to embellish the trims of the mini dresses and the top parts, quite often put as transparency inserts that turned those dresses into wow-worthy guilty pleasures!

Apart from the body-con mini dresses, the Versus Versace by Anthony Vaccarello spring/summer 2015 collection also demonstrated some bondage-backed bodysuits, ground-skimming dresses with deep V-necks and high side slits, silk unbuttoned shirts, leather mini skirts and halter-neck tops. Wholly, the line exuded lots of power and seductiveness through simplicity, which is always a winner in the modern fashion world. Best of all, immediately after the show, the collection was up for sale, so hurry up to pick your fave designs until they are gone forever!
