Victoria Beckham To Team Up With Target

Have you ever dreamt of more affordable Victoria Beckham pieces or even Victoria Beckham-approved childrenswear? Well, your dreams may finally come true thanks to Target, as former Posh Spice has recently teamed with the American giant to create an exclusive capsule collection, due on April 9th, 2017.

Victoria Beckham x Target Spring 2017 Collaboration

The upcoming Victoria Beckham x Target spring 2017 collection is going to meet the needs of women, young adults, girls, toddlers and babies, also making Beckham’s first-ever foray into childrenswear design (which is going to be interesting indeed!). The collection is going to feature a grand total of more than 200 pieces, with price tags that retail from $6 to $70, with most of the items actually costing less than $40. The Victoria Beckham x Target capsule collection will also be available in numerous sizes, from XS to 3X for women, and from NB to XL for girls.

According to Target, which yet has to reveal the collection’s items, “the collection reflects the essence of the Victoria, Victoria Beckham line, with easy-to-wear dresses, rompers and playful tops and bottoms for women, and corresponding styles for girls, toddler and baby”.

Behind the collection’s purpose lies Victoria Beckham’s willingness to lessen the distances between high and fast fashion, letting a broader target audience reach her creations. Other than that, there is also Beckham’s desire to let her daughter sport some of her mom’s items.

“For a while now, I have been thinking how great it would be to work on clothes for a customer that either doesn’t want to pay or can’t pay designer prices,” Victoria Beckham revealed in an official statement with Target.

“So when Target – a company based on accessibility and inclusiveness – proposed a collaboration, which combined all of these things, it was an easy decision to make. I loved the idea of opening the brand up to a wider audience and being able to share my vision with a broader customer base. I have always designed clothes that I want to wear, and that’s exactly what I have done here, but this time there are also clothes that my daughter would love to wear, too!” she added.

As for the childrenswear, Beckham revealed it “is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.” So does it mean she is going to include childrenswear to her main clothing lines, too?

The Victoria Beckham x Target spring 2017 collection will be entirely available on Target.com and in brick-and-mortar Target stores, while selected pieces will be available on Beckham’s e-commerce site, Victoriabeckham.com. Save the date!
