Victoria by Victoria Beckham Spring 2017 Ready-to-Wear – London Fashion Week

The Victoria by Victoria Beckham spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection has a clean and simple relaxed aesthetic. In fact, one of the overwhelmingly obvious themes of this collection was the very relaxed fit on all of the clothes. While Victoria Beckham has been known to rock much tighter fitting attire, her personal style is beginning to include more loose and flowing silhouettes and as such, her clothing lines are following suit.

There are several pairs of pants that feature long, loose-cut, wide legged pants with clean tuxedo lines in contrasting colors. There is a pair of white pants with midnight blue lines, and matching slides as well as a black pair with deep green lines and matching slides. There are a few all white pairs of pants with a front center pleat on each leg, cool pockets and interestingly placed buttons. Apparently, Victoria Beckham is a fan of hummingbirds as well, as they appear in several pieces of this collection.

Clean lines are enforced with the very trendy long hanging belt tails and a lot of beautifully designed coats. A belted trench is a favored piece, also paired with white, blue and red slides. A pair of black shorts, black and white slides, a white shirt and a black sweatshirt with blue shaded hummingbirds make another effortlessly chic look.

There are also palm trees emblazoned with embroidery on a white button-up shirt. There were no heels in the Victoria by Victoria Beckham spring/summer 2017 collection, rather slip-in sandals that looked amazingly comfortable in bold blues, white and red.

A hummingbird and palm tree slip dress used a cream and tan embroidered design on the white of the dress to create a fun, summery look. One of the most interesting accessories was a very large bag, rounded in tan with blue designs and thick rope straps. The entire outfit included blue and white slides, a Bermuda style button-up shirt and shorts set with the same pattern that graces the bag. It was a fun vacation feeling look that definitely added to the collection in a positive way.

So many of the pieces looked comfortable in the pictures and in the presentation of the collection, though realistically the long legs will wear out eventually, they look great for a good while. There were hummingbirds on jackets, pants and shirts, embroidered and patterned in.

As denim will likely always have a place in fashion, there was a denim two-piece set, embroidered with flowers and hummingbirds. There is even a beautifully detailed bomber jacket paired with a long white shirt and long, wide legged black pants and slides.

The overall aesthetic of the Victoria by Victoria Beckham spring 2017 collection was relaxed and chic. It is a near certainty that this collection will sell well; it is beautiful and impossible not to appreciate.
