Victoria by Victoria Beckham Spring/Summer 2013 RTW – New York Fashion Week

Although she is a proud Brit, the fact that already for five years Victoria Beckham has been living in Los Angeles certainly leaves its mark on her signature style. This is well seen in her secondary line showcased during New York Fashion Week. Inspired by the southern California lifestyle, the latest Victoria by Victoria Beckham spring/summer 2013 collection took a more practical, simplistic, dynamic and sporty turn, unlike the Victoria Beckham spring/summer 2013 collection, which was more elegant and cute. There, you can find everything to create chic casual looks and look flirty and trendy every single day.

“It’s really cool,” Victoria said of her spring collection before the show. “I want to be these girls and if I can’t be them, I want to hang out with them.”
The Victoria by Victoria Beckham spring/summer 2013 collection radiates a lovely laid-back allure through a range of short, sleek dresses that are ether monochrome or use hardly noticeable hazy purple palm tree prints, dots, a cool blue-on-black bud print or gorgeous safari details. The entire line was quite subdued and versatile and used some little pops of oranges here or there in the form of a skinny belt or towering pumps. The dresses didn’t use any single extra detail that would make them eccentric or edgy and a high focus was placed on the waistline.
Models looked natural and simplistic beauty wise too. They walked down the catwalk with natural, sleek hair and a subtle day makeup. No wonder, that is the line to look to, if you love versatility and style on the daily basis.
