Fashion alert! There is an exceptional opportunity for high fashion addicted people. Nowadays the Internet and social media make it possible to reach any part of our civilized world. Thus, we all get to know what the modern fashion trends and the coolest haute couture pieces are. However, there is a little problem: hardly any of us manages to acquire most of those amazing handwork pieces to feel closer to high fashion. You may already know how much haute couture pieces cost, so unless you are one of those celebrities or a successful businesswoman, you’ll hardly afford owning a couture design from your favorite fashion house. To solve this problem, the famous Dutch designing house Viktor & Rolf has announced a competition setting an haute couture piece as a prize.
The competition has been organized with the help of an active Instagrammer @IsabelitaVirtual. The rules of entering the contest are as follows: use your brightest imagination to create an artwork, take a photograph of it, upload the picture on Instagram under the hashtag #ViktorAndRolfArtAuction, and wait for good news. The deadline of this exceptional contest is July 14, so hurry up, guys! The designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren are going to look through the pictures of all the contestants, to examine them carefully and pick up the lucky winner. The latter will receive a sumptuous piece from the Viktor & Rolf fall 2015 collection, which the winner will decide whether to wear or just keep as a priceless piece of artwork.
No wonder the brand does not have the lack of fans for each branch of their business scope. Every time a V&R runway show starts, the spectators experience the amazing impressions from the combination of art, theatre and exquisite sense of style. The designers consider themselves unconditionally affectionate for romanticism. Yet they insist on being conceptual at the same time, thus always trying the utmost of their capability to create both bright and ravishing pieces. A lot of us were extremely sad on hearing that they closed down their ready-to-wear business. Imagine how thrilled we are for this new idea of a contest after that. The number of subscribers to the competition in yet the first hour of its announcement adds proof to the fact. This intention is a good way of letting the customers get their hands on the company’s products. The beauty department of the company already has the successful experience of giving away fragrances through various contests.
“Fashion is more than just a season’s taste for us. We are trying to drive our ideas to the souls of the spectators, and a fashion show is one of the ways to do that,” once mentioned Rolf Snoeren. Another road, we suppose, is this new amazing idea to expand the limits of their reach spectrum up to the customers’ homes. Although couture is stricter and is considered “not a thing for everyday life”, every average person does certainly wish to have that colorful touch of majestic high fashion in her hazy routine.
