The fantastic all-encompassing Wildfox Couture Off Duty resort 2013-2014 campaign is a result of huge and sophisticated work of a group of specialists. To be more specific we can start with Kimberley Gordon, who created the realistic and true-to-life environment, which served as a suitable background for the photos. The latter is the creation of talented Mark Hunter, who managed to choose just the exact spectrums for representing the pieces as thoroughly as possible. Carlene K and Anna Lee Fiorino created the matching makeup and hairstyles of the models, and finally the real stars of this campaign story are stunning Avery Tharp, Amanda Smith, and Dioni Tabbers. In the photos, they appear with some familiar images reminding us of the popular movie about Charlie’s Angles, also having some comeback cues about Farrah Fawcett.
The source of inspiration of the dazzling Wildfox Couture Off Duty resort 2013-2014 collection becomes more certain after reading the description provided by the brand: “Something about the 70’s was just so care-free. It was a decade that celebrated gimmicky entertainment, rainbow colors, Rock and Roll music, and especially bombshells. Farrah Fawcett in that red swimsuit, fanned out hair and beautiful smile, Charlie’s Angels rushing to fight crime while still looking sexy in a bikini… these are the girls we wanted to portray with our resort collection, a time before photoshop, a time for really natural sex appeal. Our collection is filled with fun, bold 70’s sayings and colors, and our muses are the 3 Angels… but this time on vacation”.
So this is what the pieces are made of, presented first as cool and retro-touched swimwear options, based on color diversity and spectacular prints, followed by an array of sweatshirt and pants options, having the typical stripy-with-iridescent colors, then featuring some cool long-sleeved printed tops, which appear paired with a number of garment variants like fluttery skirts, jeans, and comfy wool jackets. The one-shoulder-off shapes chosen for some printed tops are also remarkable among the images being the most youth-inspired options of the entire Wildfox Couture Off Duty resort 2013-2014 collection.
The cool T-shirts with a variety of prints, especially frequently reading words like “delicious” or just “hello” are other eye-catching drives of the looks. The sporty looks are presented with nice zipper jumpsuits, and the cutest motives are exemplified with the nice combo of a wool jacket, having geometrically put colorful prints on the background of white, as well as a nice white bottom for the best match.
Thus, Wildfox comes to prove that youthful motives can be fitted into retro and traditional shapes, too, making the latter look as modern and actualized as never, and we just love that!
