With Valentino’s New Minaudière You Get to Carry your Lipstick in Style!

Ever since Pierpaolo Piccioli took over command of the creative scene at Valentino, the fashion radar has been irresistibly drawn to his undeniable talent, and of course, a whole lot of pink, Piccioli seems positively obsessed with this hue.

This spring, his solo act for Valentino has been all the rage and industry experts cannot help but be beguiled by his innovative approach towards setting trends. Piccioli has given Valentino a lovely flair for unpredictability, and with every collection, this Maison de la mode leaves us delighted and yearning for more.

It’s Piccioli’s first solo collection ever since his long-time creative partner, Maria Grazia Chiuri left to become the creative director at Dior, and for the very first time, we get to see his talent with a fierce independence.

And as soon as Noemie Abigail, the stunning show opener, walked down the glossy ramp at the Hotel Salomon de Rothschild in Paris, flaunting a black and pink silhouette, with a glossy minaudiere clinging by the side of her delicate torso, we knew we weren’t going to be disappointed.

The very first element that caught our attention, and solemnly refused to let it go, was the glamorously discreet built-in lipstick holder peeping out from the clasp of the sparkly minaudiere, and that’s when we marvelled at the beauty of this innovative new idea funnelled in by Piccioli.

Even though that glamorous October evening has long faded into the past, these petit glamorous delights have emerged as the hottest trend on the fashion radar. They give us a fine specimen of Piccioli’s romantic yet incredibly functional approach towards couture. These sparkly delights are perfect for a stylish vanity and a glossy black tie statement.

You can sling them across your petite waist, throw it around your neck for a navel-grazing pendant, or carry it in your perfectly manicured fingers. They’re very light in weight, and the best part, which is literally going to make you flip over with delight, is that they also carry a double-sided mirror to help rescue your beauty statement every time you feel the need to touch up your highly pigmented pout. After all, applying those heavily matted liquid lipsticks is a tricky business that requires utmost percision!

With Valentino’s voguish new minaudiere, you can carry your very own stylish vanity box with a built-in mirror, and a stylish lipstick holder. Seriously, what else does a girl need? These enamelled metal bags are a like dream come true, and we can all bid good riddance to those awful black tie clutches that refuse to close up after stuffing in a lipstick or two.
