Zara Drops a Color Bomb With SS 2016 Campaign

Amidst all the fashion week craze, fast fashion giant Zara decided to distract us a little from the runway extravaganza and glamour unveiling its color-infused and trend-focused fashion campaign for the upcoming warm season. Photographed by the one and only Mario Sorrenti and fronting such rising stars in the modeling industry as Vanessa Moody, Frederikke Sofie, Julia Bergshoeff and Lineisy Montero, the Zara spring/summer 2016 campaign literally drops a color bomb, celebrating love, nature and natural beauty while also showcasing wow-worthy spring essentials we can’t wait to get our hands on. It’s Zara and we always expect the best in the season’s trend interpretations from the brand without breaking the affordability factor.

Zara Spring/ Summer 2016 Campaign

The Spanish retailer that is enjoying great love internationally, both in Europe and America, but also in Asian countries, knows how to tackle the hottest trends of the moment taking runway looks directly to street and creating fresh, youthful designs that come like a breath of fresh air. The company always makes headlines without spending a cent on advertising, staging crowded fashion shows or announcing exciting collaborations with big names in the industry. Its recipe to success? Staying true to their principles and working hard to produce collections that inspire, enchant and even appeal to the higher class (we’ve seen Olivia Palermo, Kate Middleton and others sport Zara clothes many a time).

Naturally we went bananas for a minute, forgetting about the hectic NYFW schedule, as we discovered the Zara SS 2016 collection! There are many reasons for it and you too get ready to fall head over heels in love with each and every design presented here. It’s all about bohemian, feminine and carefree dressing with lots of pastel colors and watercolor motifs, oversized silhouettes and flowing designs, frills, ruffles and delicate lace. What’s not to love?

In the campaign, the models have fun on the beach playing with color bombs and sparklers, dipping in the water and hanging out nonchalantly in the middle of nowhere in the field. Their outfits perfectly embody their spirit, while their hair and makeup is left natural and perfectly in tune with the overall mood created.

How to dress this spring? Think flowing maxi dresses with shoulder cut-outs, backless designs, monochrome or printed, with crochet inserts and in slightly slouchy robe styles. There are vintage pieces we cherish so much every season, pretty dresses a la Chloe that you can wear day in, day out with the arrival of the longer days.

Pastel Serenity blue is apparently Zara’s favorite color for the season, but we also discover utility-style-evoking khaki shades, neutral creams and crisp whites along with the darling floral patterns almost each spring brings with it. We have simple shirt-dresses in blue perfect for a casual summer stroll in the city or by the sea, off-the-shoulder roomy dresses with crochet and lace work, and a pretty ruffled maxi dress celebrating the color of the year for 2016. But what we especially crave in this collection is the array of watercolor-print maxi and mini dresses with backless and halter-neck designs that have summer and fun imprinted all over!
