This year there is one main style of haircut that is quite trendy, alongside those incredible boho waves: shoulder-length layered haircuts. This one is an easy to manage, perfectly chic but well-groomed ideal, falling to around the shoulders but not passing the top of the breasts. It is the medium cut that looks so very pretty, the one that speaks of a professional comfortable in her own shoes, of a lady who is able to hold her own no matter where she may be.
One’s hairstyle speaks volumes about her individuality. For example, according to Cosmopolitan Magazine, a woman with medium length hair in a wash and go style is a good thinker and very much values the existence of logic in any argument or situation.
Impatience and frustration might also be some points that make up your character, but your focus on common sense takes you a long way. Goal-oriented and competitive it appears women with such shoulder-length hairstyles are, with their direct tackling of any obstacle head on making them the perfect candidate for any corporate job.

In any case, no matter what it means for you to be wearing your hair at medium lengths, straight or wavy, mussed or fussed, the cut is what is totally in for this year and there are many ways to make it your own if the celebrities sporting the look are to be trusted.
The main style we are looking at is the medium layered hairstyle, as we scrutinize how 10 different celebrities wear the look. Which of these shoulder-length layered hairstyles do you prefer?
1. The Kim Kardashian Style
Kim Kardashian wore her blonde hair in a medium layered cut as she attended the Louis Vuitton fashion show. It was an edgy center-part with long layers, tucked behind her ear on one side and the longest strands falling just below her collarbone. While blonde may not me Kim’s color per se, the style was uncanny and quite attractive overall.
2. The Olivia Wilde Style
Gorgeous layers on especially alluring hair color is what we see when we take in the Olivia Wilde medium layered haircut. She attended the Revlon New Age Defying collection launch wearing it quite simple, but looking perfectly chic as the shorter layers framed her face beautifully, the highlights and lowlights playing peek-a-boo throughout, and the part coming from the side, falling straight dawn to the slightly flipped in edges.
3. The Dawn Olivieri Style
Honey blonde hair looks rather pretty when it is kept nice and simple, the way Dawn Olivieri liked to wear her medium layered cut style. She looked like her unique self as she sauntered into the People’s Ones to Watch party, slightly off-side on the part, the hair itself in a more natural no fuss format. The roots were teased up and the baby hair peeked through. It was a lovely sight and one we can and should easily emulate.
4. The Elizabeth Banks Style
Stylishly coiffed is how we see the lovely Elizabeth Banks; stylishly coiffed with her medium layered cut hair in a light sun-kissed blonde that belongs on the beaches of California. Her edgy layering with some short and some long was a beautiful portrait to take as she appeared on the scene on the “Extra” filming. A slight offside part is perfect as well, particularly when the shorter layers appear to be almost like long bangs.
5. The Anja Rubik Style
If you want a medium layered haircut that is just perfect for the festival season, despite the fact that Coachella won’t be back for another year, stick to the Anja Rubik style with her bed hair that looked so very chic as she wore the tousled layering to her hairdo to the Tribeca Film Festival Artists’ Dinner.
A mostly center part, the roots were darker, the edges quite light a blonde. The layers fell in short and long, looking so very sexy, something you should be able to pull off with ease as well. It is a hairstyle that requires little effort and produces maximum results.
6. The Hanneli Mustaparta Style
Her name might be harder to pronounce, but none can say that Hanneli Mustaparta is anything less than a goddess of beauty herself, a celebrity in her own right. Her medium layered hairstyle is also quite appealing, particularly with the strawberry blonde style hair, the layers cut quite long.
The messy-chic center part look was perfect as she attended the Dior fashion show looking even better than the models on stage herself. The ends barely pass the shoulders, the medium length of the look adding to the height of her face and looking spectacular with one side tucked not so neatly behind an ear.
7. The Aline Weber Style
Aline Weber knew just how to wear her medium layered cut hair as she attended the amFAR New York Gala. She had it done up in an edgy manner, complete with a center part and layers that were generally longer in length, other than a few strands appearing to be bangs that have grown out instead.
Her blonde hair suited her complexion beautifully. Though you need not be blonde to pull off the medium layered cut, it appears celebrities opt for this look more often.
8. The Rosie Huntington Whiteley Style
If you want a really sexy looking medium layered hairstyle, go no further than the gorgeous textured design that Rosie Huntington Whiteley had sported at the Tom Ford presentation. It had this punk-glam feel to it, from a deep side part, the blond catching the light and the hair itself in a more natural texture, complete with the odd wave and flip and arrow straight piece appearing here and there. This look is all but oozing in sensuality.
9. The Naomi Campbell Style
If you want a medium layered cut that barely grazes your shoulders and has bangs with it to boot, then look no further than to the look presented by Naomi Campbell as she attended the Badgely Mischka fashion show wearing her hair in an edgy-chic layering and had her bangs in a wispy fashion. It is a great look, the part from the center from the center of the head, the bangs falling forward from the crown.
10. The Jacquelyn Jablonski Style
Shorter medium layered hairstyles with an edgy feel and razor cut strands really stood out as Jacquelyn Jablonski attended the amFAR New York Gala, the longest pieces but wisps grazing the shoulders, the hair itself parted from the center and a sun-kissed brunette coloring that was very much needed in this line-up.
It is a look that screams pretty while having a touch of sexy to it as well. There is something very chic about this one, speaking of a fun spirit behind a logical and well-mannered exterior.
