Micro-Braided Side Bun Tutorial

Tired of typical hair buns? Well, then it’s time to switch to micro-braided side-swept buns. Those are just the best options for those wishing to emphasize their perfect face shape, as well as highlight the cheekbones. The style, which looks romantic and girly is easy to make. Have a nosey at the micro-braided side bun tutorial and do it on your own!

You start up with curling your hair. Usually this means not getting ideal curls, but rather having more volume for the hairstyle. The method of curling depends on your preference. You can use either a curling iron or no-heat rollers. If you have thick or curly hair you can skip this step and proceed to the main process.

Micro-Braided Side Bun Tutorial

When done with the curling process, you need to tease your hair with fingers making separated curls. Two small sections should be picked on the front part. Each of those needs to be pleated into a braid. You can choose the style of the braid such as fishtail braids or four-strand braids, if you’re an expert of braids; otherwise you can get the simple three-strand braid. Secure the ends of the braids with an elastic band.

Then, the hair should be gathered into a side ponytail and secured with an elastic band. The braids should also be included in the side ponytail. You first need to remove the elastics making sure that the braids will not lose their original styling. Then you need to make a few more braids in the ponytail. To do so you need to separate three to four small sections and braid them in the same manner as you did with the first two braids or try out a different style.

After making braids you should pull the ponytail and start twisting the ends around creating a bun effect. The braids will require a special treatment. You should keep them visible and try arranging them to look more elegant.

The micro-braided side bun should be secured with the help of bobby pins. You’ll have to try making the pins invisible hiding them under the bun. And here you go! You have a super-cute and girlish hairstyle that will go from day to night!
