Stylish Ways to Wear Bangs in Spring 2015

The spring shows have not only been full of mesmerizingly beautiful fashion designs when it comes to shoes, dresses, outfits, coats and bags, but the hairstyles boasted by each model have also caught our attention. It seems 2015 is the year of the bangs, whether it’s a totally throwback Thursday design, something sweet and classic, or an eccentric, totally out-there design. Bold blunt cuts and fringes alike, these looks have been dominating the runway of late. Browse through these 6 stylish ways of wearing bangs in spring 2015, if you want to look cool and innovative!

Shaggy rocker bangs on custom-dyed wigs were the staple with Tom Ford, wherein the cuts were heavy, the bangs were side-swept and there was this Debbie Harris look inspired that we certainly are enjoying. It has a tousled, tangled and totally unkempt look, which is indefinitely sexy.

Thick and blunt, the wigs for Marc Jacobs were cut with an underground punk inspired style, where the look is slightly unkempt, thoroughly angular, but with the soft edge of that just-woken-up feel. Not to mention the fact that this style totally brings out the eyes while totally keeping to a winter element. Short bobs look infinitely better with this design.

Talking timeless hairstyles, the straight, silky bangs we saw at Givenchy were spectacular, particularly considering the fact that the rest of the hair had certain texture to it and adorned with light waves. It’s lovely to say the least and gives an edgy cool to the otherwise warm look.

For years Japanese Anime characters have been sporting this hair design, with the spiky side-swept bangs that have been pulled to the front from the back of the head. It’s interesting to see a ponytail worn this way, but we’ve been playing with such designs since we were kids and planning on becoming a hairdresser ourselves. The plat pinning of the ponytail is sprayed down so that it doesn’t move, creating a rather futuristic look.

Quite a few eyes must have been opening wide with shock of late when the bowl cut bangs come into view and we are no exception. Both Lady Gaga and Beyonce have been sporting this look of late and we’re not quite sure if we like it. It gives a rather mysterious edge to the face, though it does open up the features to better reflect the light. The frosted brows and lashes add an eerier appeal to the hair design, bringing the focus to eye colour and lip stains.

Mohawks have got nothing on this Bjork-like knot design in the center of the head, while a tuft of hair is left sticking out over the forehead to serve as mini bangs. We are intrigued to say the least but it’s hard to imagine this becoming a trend commonly seen on the streets. It’s too gutsy and just a bit over-the-top. We’re not sure what prompted this design, but it’s always fun to have something throwing us for a loop. That’s what makes runways such a fun watch overall!
