We all know things get sexy when it comes to Agent Provocateur, but it is with its fall 2016 ad campaign that the label might just have outdone itself, getting “intensely sexy” thanks to model Abbey Lee Kershaw’s stunning beauty and photographer Mario Testino’s terrific artistic skills. You can look and feel equally sensual, as the new lingerie designs are already available for purchase at AgentProvocateur.com.
“I was completely starstruck to work with Mario. I’ve never seen anyone work in the way that he did. He loves the brand and that really came through; he wanted to strip everything back – nothing but Abbey, the underwear, and that electric magnetism between them. It was an intensely sexy shoot,” explained Agent Provocateur’s creative director Sarah Shotton regarding the campaign, which is finally available in a black & white array of dreamlike photos that celebrate independence, confidence and the label’s 20th birthday.
Styled by George Cortina, who selected some of the sexiest lingerie pieces for the Australian model from Agent Provocateur’s fall 2016 collection, the campaign focuses on both two- and one-pieces, as well as on corsets (Kershaw’s favorites) and lace robes.
Besides being extremely sultry, the campaign also proves dressing up with risqué lingerie doesn’t necessarily mean one has to give up on coziness, as each one of the pieces features refined lines, decorative motifs and cuts that gently hug the body without looking too tight. That is the result of the label’s new philosophy, which entirely targets the modern woman.
Independent, eager to feel sensual primarily all on her own, the Agent Provocateur woman radiates self-confidence wearing Chantilly lace corsets, fishnet and floral embroideries, and even laced-up decorations, as her multi-faced personality is expressed through an eclectic and diverse collection that is ready to suite anyone’s taste.
Mario Testino perfectly managed to portray such a modern woman, focusing on “her needs, her lifestyle, her work, rest and playtime: the sexuality of the modern woman,” as reported by the label’s press note.
Keeping in mind that the modern woman looks for comfy and cool pieces to wear any time, for its fall 2016 collection Agent Provocateur focused on lingerie proposals that can be easily worn underneath any day-to-day outfit, whether one is going to spend a long day at the office or have a brunch with friends. That is why, for instance, among the pieces stand out French knickers, waist cinchers and laced bodycons: you can wear them on a daily basis just to boost your confidence.
Agent Provocateur definitely wants us to dare and experiment more with fashion, and this is a challenge many have already accepted throughout the label’s 20 years in the industry!
