Actress and model Aymeline Valade was tapped as Oysho’s brand ambassador for the fall/winter 2016-17 lingerie ad campaign, captured by photographer Thomas Lohr in a series of black & white shots that are breathtaking.
“Aymeline Valade embodies the collection with subtlety and delicacy, giving life to garments that enhance the female silhouette with a return to classic cuts that play on the limits between underwear and outerwear,” reads Oysho’s official blog, in which the atmosphere behind the campaign is greatly explained too, giving us an idea of the perspective behind the garments’ designing process.
“Far from non-stop central London, Oysho takes us to the outskirts of the city, to a serene and nostalgic life where rays of sunshine are the only props used to interpret the brand’s trends for this season.”
The pieces, the price tags of which range from 7,99€ for laced decorative briefs to 29,99€ for a laced bodysuit, truly exude nostalgic, romantic vibes, mixed with a jocose kind of sensuality everyone should embrace on a daily basis, as a way to celebrate self-love and body positivity.
Following what are the main tendencies for these colder seasons, and at the same time reinventing some of the main trends from the warmer ones, Oysho immersed itself in crochet and lace embroideries, often elegantly blending them together and creating unique pieces that could be regarded as the result of an aesthetically pleasing boho-meets-the-Nineties process.
Every single piece is polished to the nines, with either leaf embroideries or mesh appliqués decorating the sides or the hems. All of the bras, whether we are talking of balconettes or triangular bras, sustain the body without losing coziness over sensuality.
Lace bodysuits with side slits, as well as high-waisted slips were created to make us feel both comfortable and at ease with our body too, serving as staples that will refresh our wardrobes with elegant classics just in time for winter. In trying to revamp our lingerie styles at its best, Oysho chose non-conventionally wintery shades for its garments, such as grey-blue, olive green, russet and mink, rather than focusing only on black and white.
The Oysho fall/winter 2016-17 lingerie collection features satin t-shirts too for us to wear either at home or out with friends as an alternative to our regular night out shirt.
Aymeline Valade’s elegant figure and ethereally strong silhouette manage to enhance all of the lines and cuts of the ensembles, charming us in every picture.
The Oysho fall/winter 2016-17 lingerie pieces are already available in selected Oysho stores and on oysho.com.
