Dior has been using Instagram to taunt and tease makeup lovers with hints about the upcoming Christian Dior spring 2017 makeup collection, dubbed Colour Gradation. In the initial pictures there were various products shown and people were clamoring trying to figure out what everything was.
There was a four-color eyeshadow palette, a sugar lip scrub that got everyone excited and everything just took off from there until people began to realize an interesting theme – gradients. Set to become available for purchase at Dior, Nordstrom, Harrods and Sephora later in the beginning of the upcoming year, below you’ll find all the product details included in the collection.
Dior Colour Gradation Palette (Limited Edition)
This palette comes in two color sets, 001, the Blue Gradation and 002, the Coral Gradation. These are the palettes that started the buzz off a single glance. Though well pigmented, these shadows are expected to go on soft.
Dior Diorskin Nude Air Colour Gradation (Limited Edition)
This is a sparkling face powder available in 001 Radiant Nude and 002 Rising Pink and people who can comfortably wear the shade are already adding it to their wish lists.
Dior Blush Colour Gradation (Limited Edition)
Coming in 002 Pink Shift, and 001 Coral Twist, which is a gradient peach color, the Dior Blush is beautifully pressed and features a gradient that has everyone excited. The two shades are both a soft pink.
Dior Addict Lipstick
MUAs and makeup lovers are going wild over the new Dior Addict lipstick and the revealed shades since the first image. There are five colors revealed so far, each incredibly pigmented, but super smooth in lighter pinkish shades.
• 430 Peach Twist
• 459 Coral Twist
• 559 Rose Twist
• 760 Fuchsia Twist
• 850 Pink Twist
Dior Diorshow Mono Eyeshadow
Dior’s mono eyeshadow is the singular version of the shades offered in the palettes. When you have a favorite color, this is how you keep stocked up. In this case, the color offered is 391 Now, a rich deep open ocean-reminiscent shade. You also get 474 Early, which is a bright lime color for bold girls.
Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara (Limited Edition)
This mascara is designed to give your eyelashes a comic book style ‘pow’. Each swipe of this mascara provides not only definition, but also volume in a deep color called 284 Over Night.
Dior Rouge Gradient Ombres à Lèvres (Limited Edition)
This lipstick has people really excited. These are double ended and designed to provide a heavily pigmented gradient on lips. It has been revealed in three matte shades and shown in the picture as being applied darker on the inside, lighter on the outside.
While many are not sold on the idea of painting on what will appear for many as a tiny mouth, though it is an interesting look, several have expressed an interest in seeing what else can be achieved with them, likely even wearing them in reverse.
Dior Diorshow Pro Liner
This is a bevel-tipped, adjustable liner designed to provide runway looks and closer to makeup artist precision for everyone. The wear is long lasting and the color – 482 Pro Teal is smooth, clean and ideal.
Dior Lip Sugar Scrub Sweet Exfoliating Balm
This is the most delicious sugar scrub lip stick that will care for your lips, making them appear healthy and youthful.
Dior Rouge Brilliant
Coming in two delicate pinks, these lip-glosses are ideal to wear on their own or over your favorite lipstick.
• 047 Miss
• 468 Bonheur
Dior Le Vernis
Dior has revealed four different nail polish shades for spring 2017 so far, all of them vibrant and very unexpected. Of the four revealed shades the real stunner is Early, a bright yellow that has already been seen on several runways and identified as one of the primary spring 2017 Pantone color trends.
• 340 Maybe – vibrant peach shade (Limited Edition)
• 505 Early – bright yellow (Limited Edition)
• 800 Now – deep blue
• 873 Sudden – shocking pink (Limited Edition)
We now know that the Dior spring 2017 makeup collection will be available in January 2017, giving everyone interested a chance to dream up their upcoming spring looks and work up a few dreamy face charts. I have seen quite a few people wishing for soft pinks and light colors, but I am more excited about the use of the gradients and the especially the Dior Le Vernis in 800 Now. That is a beautiful springtime blue to bring us out of winter greys.
