Estée Lauder Mad Men Makeup Collection

Lately vintage seems to have become the mainstream trend everywhere, both in fashion and makeup, and it manages to draw the attention of more and more women worldwide. One of the hottest trends in makeup is a retro, feminine look inspired by AMC’s American dramatic television series “Mad Men” created and produced by Matthew Weiner. Thus renowned beauty label Estée Lauder teamed up with Matthew Weiner to develop a special limited edition makeup line based on this new makeup craze. The result? An absolutely bewitching two-piece makeup collection that will make each and every woman look unique and charming. Composed of a glamorous cherry-red lipstick and a creamy blush, the exquisite Estée Lauder Mad Men makeup collection looks back to the legendary Estée Lauder ’60s collections for inspiration to get the chic, vintage designs of the products.

“Quite frankly, we’re crazy for the show. We’ve always felt like there’s a connection between Mad Men and the Estée Lauder brand and Estée herself; the sixties were our heyday as well,” says Jane Hertzmark Hudis, global brand president of Estée Lauder. Hertzmark Hudis also adds that they were interested in collaborating with Weiner because they could do it in “an authentic way. We were there in the sixties — it’s not creating something inspired by the sixties; we have stuff from the sixties!”
Estée Lauder Mad Men® Collection Limited Edition Creme Rouge
Inspired by the Award Winning AMC Drama MadMen™, this classic blush is light, creamy and easy to blend with a dewy, smooth and natural finish. It instantly manages to create the iconic rosy cheeks of the era of the movie: just a single touch and you’ll get sexy, healthy looking cheeks. Compact and carton of the blush are inspired by the famous Estée Lauder 60’s collections.
Estée Lauder Mad Men® Collection Lipstick in Cherry
It’s not a problem now to get the same bold and sexy lips as spotted in Mad Men. With this glamorous lipstick in cherry you are sure to get the iconic red lips of the era. This limited edition lipstick will kiss your lips smoothly due to the cream satin finish, while its rich lipcolor will add a ladylike touch to your pout. The carton and case of the product again draw inspiration from the legendary Estée Lauder 60’s collections.
Speaking about the beautiful packaging, Jane Hertzmark Hudis stated: “The product and the packaging were inspired by a concept that we call ‘handbag elegance’ — beautiful things you take out of your purse.”
Gorgeous model Constance Jablonski is the one featuring in the ad campaign for the new Estée Lauder Mad Men collection, looking absolutely chic and iconic of the ‘60s retro style. Estée Lauder’s creative makeup director Tom Pecheux said: “The sixties basically had everything in the way of femininity,” adding that, “It’s the perfect balance between a forties contour and a healthy glow.”
Both the products featured in this special line will go on sale starting Match 18, just in time for the much-expected debut of the show’s fifth season scheduled for March 25. You can get the products exclusively on Estée Lauder and Bloomingdale’s Web sites. The great news is that another limited-edition collection from the movie’s sixth season is already in the works.
