When it comes to MAC Cosmetics, there’s always something new to behold. It’s probably one of our favourite stores to visit, as some of the best fashion brands appear to collaborate with the company. This also includes Giambattista Valli, a major designer known for his clothing ingenuity and who is now venturing into dressing up the lips as well as the bodies of his favourite specimen: women. The Paris based designer will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of his self-titled fashion house, for which it has been decided to introduce 5 new shades of lip colur during summer of 2015. The colors included in the Giambattista Valli for MAC summer 2015 makeup collection are fresh, like blooming garden flowers and we cannot wait to see their official release.
Vogue’s interview with the renowned designer has revealed many things, including the fact that he is, indeed, overflowing with ideas that need to be made into reality. Where initially he feared containment and restriction by MAC, it was soon realized that the cosmetics company had given Valli free reign, supporting his ideas in becoming a reality by turning his flowers and his fashion sense into specific colors that define his creativity. The aim was to be able to flatter women on an international stage, catering to a global market while utilizing hues from past collections known to inspire certain passion in the female gender. One particular color was born when a single cherry was delivered to the MAC team wherein it was stated that this would be the exact shade.
We know how amazing it is to work with new lipsticks. Sometimes it takes hours of shopping, days of testing different brands and hues, before the color that’s right for you and only you is finally found from the hundreds of choices. Giambattista Valli has taken this into consideration, knowing each woman’s taste in lip colour is uniquely different. He’s included such hues as pale sixties pink, which reminds us of angelic lips, deep plums that bring out the darker side of the soul, peony pinks that look as fresh as the bloom itself, sweetly sour mandarin, and a lovely warm red rose that is the most romantic of the lip stains. Each stick has a matte finish, colorful tubes to match so you need not check inside the bullet itself, and a special type of lip gloss to top it off, so you can decide on the matte vs. shiny look each day.
“The best thing about makeup is that a lipstick can really change your look. If you never wear color on your lips and then one day you wear red, everyone just goes ‘wow!’” Valli muses. “I made these for a woman with personality, a woman who lives her life and isn’t afraid to wear color and isn’t afraid to kiss!”
The designer sure knows what he’s talking about as we are already deciding on the best Giambattista Valli for MAC colors of us and will be visiting MAC as soon as these 5 hit the market. With these shades, we know that a woman can feel herself confident and may not be lacking in opportunities to begin a blossoming romance as sweetly lovely as the Valli colors on her lips.
