We ask the attention of all those devoted fans of Jeremy Scott’s extravagant and crazy style! It seems like Moschino has a new famous toy now, as the talented designer has presented the uber-cute Moschino Teddy Toy fragrance housed in a fluffy teddy bear wearing a fun white t-shirt reading “This is not a Moschino toy”. Brazilian bombshell Isabeli Fontana has been selected as the face of the ad campaign of Moschino’s new perfume, posing for the camera lens of Steven Meisel in an elegant body-hugging black dress complemented with a teddy-bear scarf.
While it was back in 2013 when Jeremy Scott was selected as the creative director for the famous Italian fashion house and he has multiple times managed to surprise us with his outworldly collections for the brand (remember that Barbie inspired Moschino SS 2015 collection, right?), this is his first ever perfume designed for Moschino. His immense love for pop culture, fast food and famous cartoons have been illustrated on his designs various times, and it’s no surprise that he opted for a teddy bear packaging for his first unisex scent. Apparently he wanted to pay homage to Franco Moschino’s famous bear dress from his 1988 collection and it seemed to be something creative enough to go for, as no one had ever used a plush toy as a packaging for a fragrance before.
As natural as that may be, the Moschino toy fragrance is housed inside a toyshop-style packaging and to be able to use the fragrance you’ll have to remove the bear’s head every time. It’s not only the design of the bottle and the packaging that Mr. Scott has worked on, as he has been involved in every single phase of the creation of his perfume. He picked the notes of the perfume being guided by his own feelings he felt for it, as a result of which we have a light floral and woody scent, composed of the heart notes of violet petals, lavender, hawthorn and a drydown of vanilla, moss, sandalwood and acacia, finished off with accords of fresh bergamot, mandarin and cardamom.
Toy by Moschino is available as 50 ml Eau de Toilette and retails now online on Moschino’s official website. November 13, 2014 is scheduled for Jeremy Scott’s appearance and signing at Harrods, so if you want to be present there make sure to be there from 12:30pm to 2:00 pm.
