Kat Von D Partnering With Too Faced?

There have been many enthralling collaboration collections in the beauty industry, especially recently, and now there is one more to add to that list. A collaboration between Too Faced and the beloved Kat Von D was first hinted at three months ago, but piecing together Instagram posts from Kat Von D and Too Faced CEO Jerrod Blandino, there is no doubt about it: we’re in for an epic collection.

Kat Von D Partnering With Too Faced

Three months ago, Von D gave the first glimmer of hope for this intriguing collaboration when she posted a picture of her edgy studded lipstick next to a simply chic heart-shaped bronzer from Too Faced on her Instagram. And the caption, which was very simple and straightforward in nature, was just the icing on top: [email protected] + @toofaced= ❤”. This image alone was enough to spark serious talk among Kat Von D followers, who expressed their interest in seeing her post makeup tutorials of her products and Too Faced, but only some seemed to understand that this photo could mean something a bit bigger than that.

If they weren’t talking before, an Instagram photo posted by Blandino on Sunday, Jan 17, showed the two brand execs sitting together around a table. “True Love,” the caption says alongside the hashtags #BetterTogether, #katvondbeauty, and #AreYouReady. The contents on the table were obstructed by a giant bow, with the blurred table in the background.

And finally, just yesterday, Jan 21 Von D posted another photo of her and Blandino talking while sitting on the floor. The table was pixelated this time, but there’s still a bit of room to see beauty products on the outskirts of the round table. And the energetic caption has left no more room for interpretation:

“Super-secret creative meetings happen in hotel rooms when a collaboration like THIS is about to go down!! @katvondbeauty @toofaced ? #getfuckingreadyforthis #TOOFACEDxKATVOND #unstoppableduo #BFFs #powercouple #bettertogether #comingsoon.”

So now we have it in writing! “Too Faced x Kat Von D” are some truly beautiful words to see strung together. Fans were already on an ultimate level of freaking out once the collaboration was hinted at, so once this new announcement makes it big in the media, there’s no telling the responses that will come flying in. This post from Von D accumulated nearly 38 thousand likes in its first four hours of being published, and the responses so far have assured the fans’ stellar reactions.

It doesn’t matter if you need more makeup, or if you’re even in the market to purchase more; you’re bound to find something to die for coming from a collaboration as epic as this one. These two brands are very different in terms of overall design aesthetic, so we’re not even sure what a collaboration like this will look like once it’s released. We’re sure that there will be a lot of Kat Von D’s famous punk and edgy style, juxtaposed with the glamour and feminine flirtation of Too Faced, but it all depends on how the combination is executed. The two brands do have one thing in common for sure, so there is one thing we’re certain of with this collaboration: the final products will be cruelty free.
