MAC Brooke Candy Summer 2016 Collection

Let’s face it! MAC Cosmetics is the queen of celebrity collaborations. It not only manages to catch some of the most desired faces of the moment, but also turns the project into a unique story you actually want to buy into. The MAC Brooke Candy summer 2016 makeup collection is another example of the statement. The collaboration between the giant cosmetics company and the American rapper Brooke Candy is a shocker, and we love it! Here’s what comes in the collection.

MAC Brooke Candy Summer 2016 Collection

MAC Brooke Candy Lipstick (€21.00)

All the lipsticks in the collection come in matte texture except for the red shade named Mind Control. Dirty Rose is on the more elegant and nude side of the style. You might not shock the audience with it, but don’t worry, there are plenty of products here for that purpose. And yes, we’re actually going to try Mind Control… and we’re really hoping it will work. Dear MAC, I hope there really is a reason behind that naming choice.

• Mind Control – bright cherry red (Amplified)
• Witching Hour – rich purple (Matte)
• Doo-Wop – pink pop (Matte)
• Whirl – dirty rose (Matte)

MAC Brooke Candy Lip Pencil (€17.00)

Whether it’s the Whirl or the Night Crawler, these two shades of the lip pencil will support only two of the lipstick shades – deep plum and dirty rose, mainly because those are the most unique shades that might not work with an out-of-collection lip pencil. Yet again, MAC breaks its own records of extravagant naming. The names of some of the products are so skillfully embellished that I would buy the product without even having a look at the color. Just by the name… Yes, sometimes we surrender to marketing geniuses voluntarily.

• Night Crawler – deep plum
• Whirl – dirty rose

MAC Brooke Candy Vamplify (€23.50)

Want to add more visual effects to your lips, try the MAC Vamplify gloss that comes only in dirty pink and deep plum. Make a commitment to this gloss and keep it Till Death Does You Part… that’s what it says on the cover, just follow the instructions.

• Till Death Do Us Part – intense dark purple
• Pamela – dirty rose

MAC Brooke Candy Bronzing Powder (€30.00)

There are too many keywords stuffed in a phrase that make you want to purchase the bronzing powder right away. When you connect the words “golden,” “tan” and “shimmer,” the curiosity simply takes over.

• Golden – muted golden-tan beige with shimmer

MAC Studio Eye Gloss (€24.00)

Add a shimmering touch to your peepers, experimenting with the new eye gloss colors offered by MAC.

• White-Yin – shimmer white with multi-color pearl
• Black-Yang – black with red and blue pearl

MAC Brooke Candy Liquid Eye Liner (€22.00)

Sorry to disappoint our fun-loving readers, but the liquid eyeliner comes only in one color. Here’s a naming choice that I don’t agree with. Boot Black? Really? I would never want my eyeliner to be associated with a boot… not even a shoe, a sandal, a stiletto, nothing that touches the floors of a public building.

• Boot Black – intense black

Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara (€25.00)

Let your eyelashes play naughty as they show off MAC’s Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara. It’s pitch black and ready to amplify your eyes.

MAC Studio Nail Lacquer (€11.00)

Same iconic shades, dirty rose and deep plum, are also represented in the nail polishes. While they are all great products, remember to resist the temptation of getting the entire collection and using it all at once. It will not look good unless you’re really going to a Halloween party.

• Madame Candy – nude cream (Cream)
• Black Stallion – midnight purple (Cream)

MAC Brooke Candy Summer 2016 Collection

Now you know… Halloween is Back! If the colors and shades of the MAC Brooke Candy summer 2016 collection didn’t sell you the product, then the packaging might. Whatever you pick, stay in style and rock MAC! This enticing makeup collection will be available to entire Europe starting with May.
