MAC Announces Exciting Collaboration with Charlotte Olympia

If there is one cosmetics brand you know you can trust, it is MAC. Now what exactly you can trust it with is your prerogative but we know we can trust the fact that it will always team up with some of the best designers in town. That includes Charlotte Olympia, a British shoe and accessories brand founded by the beautiful Charlotte Olympia Dellal in 2008. With all the success she’s seen from 2014 onwards specifically, it is no wonder that MAC chose to partner up with Dellal announcing one of the most exciting collections of the year – MAC x Charlotte Olympia.

MAC x Charlotte Olympia Collaboration 2016

The designer launched her eponymous brand through showcasing her first footwear collection on the London Fashion Week in the month of February in her first year, after graduation from the London College of Fashion where she took Cordwainer’s footwear design course. It was in 2010 when her first store opened in London, her second coming a year later in New York City. Coming in 3rd was Los Angeles in 2013, while three new boutiques were later launched – one in Miami, the others in Hong Kong and Dubai being set up in 2014. This is one designer to be watching it seems as year on year her fame and fortune grow on a global stage. 2015 brought in for more stores, adding Las Vegas and Bangkok to her flight itinerary. Being the daughter and sister of 2 well known models certainly helped her in her career, while having a family has certainly helped her focus her work since 2010.

Girls and women who are in love with the new and the budding in the fashion industry will be in for a delectable treat with this latest collaboration of MAC’s. With the designer known for her quirky and cute pieces, her influences from classical Hollywood cinema and her love for the ‘40s and ‘50s, it only makes sense that the latest in collections will have all of these and more. The MAC x Charlotte Olympia makeup line is expected to be whimsical, fun and quite charming, lovely to behold and even lovelier to put on. Really red lipsticks are a must so we will be sorely disappointed if the collection fails to deliver in that department. The launch is expected to fall during the spring season of 2016 and it appears that the retro loving ladies will be the happiest of the bunch. References to the top actresses from the silver screen are expected so we are more than ready to celebrate old Hollywood with gusto.

But what does Charlotte Olympia Dellal have to say about it all? “The inspiration for the collection comes from my love of a bygone era that manifests itself in my day-to-day beauty look as well as featuring my design aesthetic. I have always enjoyed the ritual of dressing up and wanted to unleash my inner movie star!” Yep, we are most definitely in for a treat and it appears that Dellal will be handing it to us on a golden platter. Let us just hope it is an affordable meal we’ll be sampling with MAC this time around as well. We almost cannot wait until March when we can gobble it all up, retro glam throwbacks and all included.
