MAC x Mia Moretti Spring 2015 Makeup Collection

MAC Cosmetics will debut its collection with DJ and musical muse Mia Moretti just in time for the summer festival season. At the moment, the whole of the fashion world is beginning to turn the focus onto this amazing time of the year, when the shorts are really short and the tops cropped, the sweat running down our backs as we sway to the music all around us. It is a feverish rhythm that we are dancing to and the whole idea of the MAC x Mia Moretti spring 2015 makeup collection really appeals to us. The collection curated here is quite warm with the spotlight it casts, using colors such as sand-toasted peach, Riviera reds and poolside hues. In Mac’s own words, “for the playful romantic who dances to the beat of her own drums, Mia Moretti for M.A.C gives you the instrument you need to create your next smash hit.”

Who’s the DJ? Lip Palette x 6 ($40.00 / $48.00 CDN) (Limited Edition)

The lip palettes come in 6 distinct colors, each embodying a whole different slew of hues, from the greens to the blues, the purples and the nudes. The names are as fun as the colors themselves, from “She’s a Peach” toe the weekend packs. It may cost a pretty penny to acquire, but you know it will be worth every last cent.

• Desert Sun – creamy nude
• Weekend 1 – bubblegum pink
• She’s a Peach – bright salmon
• Weekend 2 – lilac
• Umbrella Sky – bright sky blue
• Vintage Radio – seafoam green

MAC x Mia Moretti Lipstick ($16.00/ $19.00 CDN) (Limited Edition)

It may actually cost less to go with the 6 packs of the lip colors instead of the single lipsticks that come in 2 different hues, a lustrous repromotion and a new amplified version, where each goes for 16 USD.

• Maria Moretti – cherry red (Amplified)
• High Tea – beige pink with pearl (Lustre)

MAC x Mia Moretti Cream Colour Base ($21.00 / $25.00 CDN) (Limited Edition)

Color bases are also available in this collection and come in two versions, the golden bronze of a desert road trip to the pale sandy shimmer of the summer wind. Like the lip colors before, this is also a limited edition item. It is a versatile and multipurpose product that can be applied directly to bare skin or layered over foundation, you moisturizer or powder.

• Desert Roadtrip – golden bronze
• Summer Wind – pale sand shimmer

There are two casual colors that also come in the collection, in a bright and intense coral hue as well as a carnation pink.

• Puttin’ on the Spritz – bright intense coral
• P.S. I Like You – carnation pink

MAC x Mia Moretti Accessories (Limited Edition)

No collection is complete without accessories to match, which is where the tote bag comes in to carry it all, including the makeup bag that can be thrown in side.

• Mia Moretti Tote ($50.00 / $60.00 CDN)
• Mia Moretti Makeup Bags ($46.00 / $55.00 CDN)

The MAC x Mia Moretti spring 2015 makeup collection is due to launch online next week, on March 26, 2015, for North America. Still in North America, select stores will also be carrying the line from April 2nd, while international stores can expect to see in on some areas within the month of April, though China is excluded. Last year they had another such collaboration which mostly included repromote and permanent shades.
