Monica Bellucci for Dolce & Gabbana Makeup

No one will deny that Monica Bellucci is the embodiment of Italian beauty. It’s not a chance that she has been named as one of the 100 Hottest Women of All-Time” by ‘Men’s Health’ and the most desirable woman by “AskMen”. Her beauty is undeniable, unmatchable and it has always conquered the hearts of men and inspired women from all over the world. Now the 47-year-old actress has another chance to demonstrate her unbeatable seductive appeal, ladylike allure and sensual lips, as she has been selected as the new face of the latest limited-edition Dolce & Gabbana makeup collection, titled the Monica Lipstick Collection.


“We love Monica and have worked with her many times over the past 20 years. Her beauty is timeless,” Domenico Dolce says. “She expresses perfectly the Dolce & Gabbana woman,” adds Stefano Gabbana, “She is ravishing – a true Italian icon.”
We can say one thing for sure, that the combination of Monica Bellucci and Dolce & Gabbana is certainly ideal, incredible, leading to maximum sexiness, sensuality and expressiveness. The stunning actress and the legendary label have a long history together, as Bellucci was the face of numerous campaign of the brand and walked for Dolce & Gabbana on several catwalks shows. “We are very old friends of Monica’s. We must have met in 1989 or 1990.…We really grew up together,” Stefano Gabbana said.
Speaking about her long-term relationship with Dolce & Gabbana, Monica stated: “I really admire the way that they channel sensuality into their work, whether that’s in an overtly feminine way, or sometimes with really subtle touches that aren’t immediately obvious but really catch your attention.”
On her latest collaboration with the brand, she added: “I’m delighted to be collaborating with Domenico and Stefano on Dolce & Gabbana The Make Up. I have always adored the aesthetic of Dolce & Gabbana and it’s so exciting to be involved with their creative process.”
The new Monica Lipsticks from Dolce & Gabbana will come in six alluring shades and will be priced $32 each. You can get one of the lipsticks from this limited edition collection starting May 12, when the exclusive makeup line hits the worldwide stores. “The idea for the collection was to create different shades, different colors depending on your mood of the day, your state of mind. I love all shades in the collection and feel drawn to the different colors, depending on how I feel,” Bellucci explains.
The first photos from the campaign have already been shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in London in October 2011. The makeup was done by Pat McGrath. The print campaign of the Monica Lipstick Collection will come to Italy, the U.K., the U.S., Russia and the Middle East in May.
