Too Faced Cosmetics and its insanely talented chief creative officer, Jerrod Blandino, have a delightful flair for catching beauty addicts off-guard with exciting collaborations that literally shake up the world of cosmetics in a matter of split seconds.
You’d think that after the deliciously aromatic Chocolate Bar palette these guys would run out of creativity, but thank the lord that is not the case. For now, Too Faced Cosmetics has yet again shaken up our world for all the right reasons.
Two lifelong friends and makeup gurus, Jerrod Blandino and Kandee Johnson have presented us with the most talked-about and awaited makeup collaboration of the year. Yes ladies! Too Faced x Kandee Johnson is out, and we’re about to walk you through a highly beguiling review of this fun-filled collection.
Shall we get started?
Too Faced I Want Kandee Melted Matte Liquid Lipsticks, $21 each
The melted matte liquid lipsticks are an exciting burst of hard-to-come-across shades, and the best part is, the formula makes your lips appear much fuller and amazingly rounded. If you’ve been dying to try out the famous Insta-lips but shy away because you don’t have two hours to work up your pout, honey, these melted mattes are a real game changer.
The shades are super gorgeous, there’s Melted Ice Cream, which is a pale beige and Kandee’s favorite because you can blend it up with all the other colors to come up with a new lip color every time. Tropical Punch is a shockingly hot fuchsia, Sweet & Sour is the perfect orange red, and Freshly Baked is a mulled brown with deep pink undertones.
Oh and the best part, these beauties smell of decadent caramel desserts so if you’re too hungry, feel free to lick your finely matted pout.
Too Faced I Want Kandee Candy Eyes Palette, $45
The eye shadow palette, which comes in a gorgeous chocolate-smelling vintage tin, features some of the most gorgeous shades that will make our lid-painting sprees amazingly easy. While beauty bloggers don’t need that kind of help as they continue to make excessively complicated videos, girls who find it hard to differentiate one eye shadow brush from the other (because they all practically look the same) will find this palette incredibly useful.
Johnson herself believes that these go-to shades will help everyone create a flawless look, she shares,
“They’re easy, not complicated. I’m not teaching you how to do an Easter-egg eye. Most people don’t go out wearing that kind of makeup. I wanted for people to be able to go out every day and look pretty.”
You’ll fall in love with Licorice Rope, which is the best black shadow we’ve come across in a very long time, and Banana Cream Pie, which is the most flawless yellow base to help you get rid of the horrid puffiness. The palette also features a delightful range of shimmery shades to help you oomph the glam in sexy on a wild night out.
Too Faced I Want Kandee Candy Liner, $18
If you’ve been miserably failing at nailing the cat-eye, heaven has heard you my friend, and this new liner is about to revolutionize your liner routine. The liner comes with a special applicator that has a flat edge, which allows you to create a flawless wing without twisting your wrist into uncomfortable positions. The formula is amazingly thick, and it won’t budge all day long, even if you sweat like a pig.
Too Faced I Want Kandee Candy Glow Highlighter Stick, $30
This cotton candy highlighter is truly a gift from heaven, but it’s not because Johnson created it to provide us with a highlighter that just softly glides and blends onto the skin like a dream come true. It’s perfect for all skin tones, dark or light, and the sparkle is nothing like those insane highlighters that turn your face into a light bulb.
Kandee describes her inspiration in a recent interview,
“I don’t like when a highlighter looks like a bronzer on your face,” Johnson says. “A lot are almost too golden. This is pretty on light and dark skin tones because it blends easily. It’s sparkly but doesn’t look crazy.”
Too Faced I Want Kandee Banana Pudding Brightening Powder, $30
Johnson and Kandee created an insane frenzy about their new brightening powder and we finally understand that the excitement is real and worth it.
You see, this yellow hued brightening powder is going to scare away your eye bags along with color-correcting those awful dark sports. Really ladies, we can forget about those compulsive concealer dabs that end up caking our face.
The powder will give you an even skin tone, along with adding energy to your face by get ridding of those awful purple and blue undertones that plague our skin.
If you’re not convinced, which isn’t possible because all our makeup dreams just came true, think about what’s not to love. The creamy powders, the highly pigmented and exotic mattes, the kaleidoscopic shadow palette or the miracle inducing brightening powder?
If you still have your reservations, you’re obviously better off twisting your wrist while attempting to mimic the cat-eye liner off an Instagram video!
