Back in 2016 they collaborated with Runway of Dreams and released a special line for children with disabilities. Now just in time for the warm season, Tommy is presenting their Spring 2018 Adaptive line with an inspirational campaign.
The brand released the campaign on Tuesday morning. This time they chose a group of inspirational advocates and motivational speakers. Having someone to relate to always makes things better. That’s why Tommy Hilfiger made sure to properly present the line, with the ideal muses in mind. For the ads, the label tapped Mama Cax, a lifestyle and beauty blogger and an inspirational speaker. This gorgeous lady was told that she only had only three weeks to live after being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 14. Today she is one of the most popular motivational speakers out there that knows the perfect ways to connect with differently-abled people.
The second star of the ads is Chelsie Hill, a professional dancer who is paralyzed from the waist down. At 17 Chelsie was a part of a drunken driving accident and lost the ability to move her legs. Jeremy Campbell is a gold-winning Paralympian born with a very rare condition, where the lower part of his right leg wasn’t completely developed. That didn’t stop him from competing at several Paralympics and winning gold medals. You’ll also see Jeremiah Josey, an 18-year old autistic aspiring chef.
Both adults and kids with disabilities have a very hard time finding the right clothes for them and getting ready every single morning. The regular clothing designs make it impossible for these people to dress up and still look fashionable. Most of the time they have to settle for a limited range of garments that are not always trendy or easy to put on. That’s why Hilfiger worked hard on creating the Adaptive collection, made to fulfill all of the needs of disabled women and men.

H&M’s Spring 2018 ads are here! And they’re not like anything you’ve seen before. The popular Swedish label keeps showing its support for women from all around the world. For the Spring 2018 campaign, H&M tapped two popular Hollywood ladies that are a true inspiration. If you thought that you would never see Elizabeth Olsen and Winona Ryder working together, the successful retailer is blessing us with a campaign that features the two stars.
“I love the way that the campaign really celebrates women in a very authentic way. I found that to be really refreshing and much needed right now in this culture. They are celebrating themselves and each other.”-Ryder said in the press release. “It was such a thrill to be in Buenos Aires for the H&M Spring campaign, and more importantly, to be surrounded by such a wonderful cast of strong women. The entire experience was incredibly inspiring,” Elizabeth added.
The two gorgeous stars are accompanied by famous models including Imaan Hammam, Naomi Shimada, Andreea Diaconu, Anna Ewers and singer Andrea Valle. H&M already released a promo video, that shows all these ladies dancing and having fun. Shot on the streets and in the pubs of Buenos Aires, the ads are all about strong women, who don’t need a man to have fun. Both the video and pictures have that fierce, wild vibe that is recognizable for the capital of Argentina. Winona Ryder and Elizabeth Olsen dancing the tango together in the video – it doesn’t get any better than that.
This campaign celebrates women and friendship in a different and unique way. First, Elizabeth’s male dancing partner is sent to take a break, and an amazing model takes his spot. Then, Winona makes an appearance, looking fiercer than ever and joins the dance. The brand’s spring ensembles are light, colorful and fun. You can expect an array of lightweight shirts with voluminous sleeves, statement accessories, off-the-shoulder tops, frilled dresses, polka dots, embroidered jeans and floral prints. The mega-popular collaboration between J.W. Anderson and Uniqlo is getting a second edition. After announcing the initial news in December, today we got the first look at the Spring 2018 offerings. Just like the previous time, Anderson and the Japanese brand created essential everyday wear, which includes trendy designs made of functional fabrics.
This time Anderson got his inspiration from Brighton, a beautiful beach town in Britain. Through his work, the designer wanted to depict a warm British summer. There are strong ’50s vibes seen in the essential denim pieces and sailor white and navy stripes. Uniqlo’s comfortable technical fabrics are again in the spotlight of the collaboration. The Japanese retailer borrowed their water-resistant materials, flowing linens, DRY-EX fabric, and other wrinkle-proof pieces.
“In the second collection of the collaboration, I’m looking for this idea of British summer, the idea of being on Brighton Beach. Something which is very lightweight, very airy, with a lot of linen and cotton, that has a 1950s subcultural movement [mixed] with a little bit of ease and something which is quintessential. As a Uniqlo customer, I know exactly the quality that the brand gives to its products. I am very proud of the level of execution and the attention to details that we delivered on this new spring/summer collection.”- Anderson explained.
The Spring 2018 collection will feature over 30 men’s, women’s and unisex items. Unlike before, the color range is less diverse and kept to shades that relate to summer and sea. From the shared looks, you can notice that white and navy hues dominate the collection. As an addition to that, we will see plenty of denim, J.W. Anderson’s favorite fabric. Shot at the gorgeous beachside of the historic Brighton town, the lookbook shows matching denim bucket hats, jackets, striped tees and chic checked skirts.
The first J.W. Anderson x Uniqlo collection launched in time for Fall 2017. It was a huge success, with all the fun designs being sold within days.
