Atelier Swarovski is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. For Fall 2017, the jewelry brand collaborated with the designer Jason Wu. Karlie Kloss, who is a global ambassador for Swarovski and a good friend of Wu, is the model featured in the ads.
“I designed this collection very much with the Jason Wu woman in mind. She’s strong, sophisticated and sensual ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö√Ü even the campaign is quite sensual, which was shot with Karlie Kloss who is a longtime muse and friend of mine.’- Jason Wu told WWD.
The photographer behind the shoots is Barnaby Roper. Edward Enniful, who is the editor in chief of British Vogue, took care of Karlie’s styling for the campaign. The brand already teased one official picture, that shows Kloss wearing an impressive statement necklace. The necklace is bejeweled with green, orange, and yellow crystals, and is a very classy and glamorous piece of jewelry. On her left index finger, you can notice a beautiful ring, also a part of the upcoming collection.
According to WWD, the Fall 2017 collection will feature amazing necklaces, rings, earrings, bracelets and a clutch. The prices for the designs will range between $149 and $2,990. The complete campaign will be released in September in several different fashion magazines. The luxurious pieces of jewelry will be sold this fall in Swarovski’s stores and online on the brand’s website. The exact launch date is still unknown.
This is actually the second time for Wu to design jewelry for Swarovski. The two brands previously teamed up on a collection back in 2010. In 2012, Jason Wu produced a short documentary film that explained the inspiration and the work behind his Resort 2013 line. The Austrian brand fully supported the designer and his movie. Jason is the favorite designer of many popular celebrities and influencers. He is the go-to designer of the ex-first lady Michelle Obama, actresses Julianne Hough, Diane Kruger and many others. At the moment he is the creative director of his own brand and Boss’s women’s department.
Atelier Swarovski has a rich history of collaborations with many innovative designers including Mary Katrantzou, Karl Lagerfeld, Jean Paul Gaultier and more. Recently the brand teamed up with Rosie Assoulin and Fiona Kotur. Karlie Kloss became Swarovski’s ambassador and spokesperson in May 2016. The model replaced her Victoria’s Secret fellow Miranda Kerr.
Being the heiress of one of the biggest jewelry and crystal companies in the world definitely has its perks. Victoria Swarovski married her long-time boyfriend wearing a dress worth $1.3 million. She dated Werner Mürz, a property investor, for almost seven years before tying the knot on Friday.
The breath-taking dress is a creation of the designer Michael Cinco, whose work is mostly based in Dubai. The fairytale gown was embedded with believe it or not 500,000 Swarovski crystals. If you’ve ever dreamed of being a princess bride, Victoria just gave you the perfect example. Cinco made sure that she got a unique dress that weighs 46kg (about 101 pounds). Victoria took a big part in the process of designing the amazing gown. The original dress is actually a part of Michael’s Spring/Summer 2017 Collection. The designer altered it by adding sleeves to the gown and of course a humongous amount of crystals. The train of the dress, according to Michael is six meters long and is also bedazzled with crystals.
The gorgeous dress features a massive and voluminous A-line skirt, with a semi-transparent upper part, and long sleeves with floral embroidery. Her astonishing veil was eight meters long and she wore it over her face while walking down the aisle. Victoria chose a beautiful pair of white high-heeled sandals by Jimmy Choo. She finished off the look with semi-hoop earrings embedded with diamonds. The bride reportedly changed into one more dress, as sparkling and as glamorous as the first one. It was a silver strapless dress, decorated with what else than Swarovski crystals.
The wedding ceremony took place in the Cathedral of San Giusto in Trieste, Italy. The celebration lasted three whole days. On the first night, Victoria wore a breath-taking Michael Cinco red dress. The halter-neck dress featured a high-low skirt and was encrusted with ruby-red crystals. The glamorous gala happened at the luxurious Falisia Resort & Spa, and it was a red and white themed party where men were requested to wear white suits, while women were supposed to wear red dresses.

News that Karl Lagerfeld was partnering with Swaroski to design a jewelry collection broke the headlines back in January, leaving everyone thrilled to see the sneak peeks of the items. Three months after, the first pictures of Karl Lagerfeld’s Swarovski jewelry collection get finally revealed, with the results being jaw-dropping indeed!
Set to go on sale at the Swarovski Crystal Worlds and Karl Lagerfeld retailers, as well as in selected stores and online at karl.com in September, Karl Lagerfeld’s Swarovski jewelry collection could be also regarded as relatively and surprisingly affordable, as the price tags will range from ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√°¬¨¬Æ50 to ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√°¬¨¬Æ250 (now circa $54 and $270 accordingly).
Set to debut at the Baselworld fair, which lasts from this Thursday up until March 30th and where Gucci’s Le Marché des Merveilles collection of watches is set to be presented as well, Karl Lagerfeld’s collection for Swarovski is actually going to include three different line-ups per year, with the first one dubbed The Ikonic line, the second one The Klassic Karl and the third and last one The Essentials.
Each line reflects Lagerfeld’s different, eclectic approaches to jewelry, with all of the different items being suitable for any taste. While the Ikonic line transposes Lagerfeld’s glam-rock aesthetics to luxury, with asymmetrical necklaces exuding edgy vibes, Klassic Karl is an ode to Lagerfeld’s intimate world, with his famed cat Choupette being the inspiration behind various designs. The Essentials, on the other hand, is more laid-back and classically chic, with pendants, chains and celestial-inspired pieces coming covered with cascades of Swarovski crystals.
“We feel honored to be partnering with an iconic fashion house such as Karl Lagerfeld,’ Markus Langes-Swarovski, a member of Swarovski’s executive board explained earlier this year. “Reflective of the creative vision of Karl Lagerfeld, the collection was developed with cutting-edge design elements and superior quality, which perfectly complement the existing categories. We look forward to maximizing our licensing partnership together.’
The collaboration between Swarovski and Karl Lagerfeld is a highly anticipated collection for the former, as Swarovski has been planning to renovate itself for a few months now. Actually, the so-called Lagerfeld tie-up is Swarovski’s new method of taking the brand recognition to a brand new level, reaching a wider customer base. In addition, the brand tapped Karlie Kloss as its new brand ambassador, as well as announced an iconic collaboration with designer Jean Paul Gaultier.
Although the Karl Lagerfeld x Swarovski collaboration appears to be a greater deal for Swarovski, Karl Lagerfeld’s chief executive officer Pier Paolo Righi revealed the German designer is more than thrilled about the partnership, and cannot wait to officially launch it later this autumn.
“Karl is the man of accessorization and jewelry, it was therefore the next natural step for us to expand our product range with a fashion jewelry collection. Swarovski, with their significant expertise, makes the perfect partner for us and we look forward to launching the first collection this fall,’ Righi explained.
As for us, we cannot wait to finally take a closer look at all the Karl Lagerfeld x Swarovski jewelry pieces!

From Topshop’s spring campaign to Mango’s New Metallics, from joining the jury for the LVMH prize to launching a coding camp, Karlie Kloss is an indefatigable working machine indeed! The talented model and coder has just been announced as the new Swarovski brand ambassador, thus succeeding the luxury label’s former spokesmodel ” Miranda Kerr.
“We wanted to bring our brand to the next level but also the next generation ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö√Ü we thought that Karlie would be a perfect match. She represents a certain openness and a certain mind-set ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö√Ü a new philosophy, if you will. She is very fashionable and very beautiful, which is key when you talk about the next generation of consumer ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö√Ü specifically, powerful women who should become our long-term customer. On top of that, we’ve decided to put more emphasis on the North American market and who would be better than Karlie?’ stated Swarovski’s chief executive officer for consumer goods Robert Buchbauer in a statement.
Kloss will officially embody Swarovski’s signature brilliance starting from September 2016, when the brand’s print ads and campaigns begin appearing in the international publications. Besides the printed ads, Kloss will represent Swarovski’s legacy and present-day embodiment by appearing in any television, outdoor and digital campaign for the label, infusing Swarovski with her personal fresh and genuine style for a grand total of (at least) two years.
Karlie’s Swarovski contract includes also an exclusivity clause for both the jewelry and watch market, meaning that Kloss won’t be seen wearing statement jewelry designed by other brands. According to an official statement and an interview with the New York Magazine, Kloss appears to be more than enthusiastic about her new achievement, as she truly values her forthcoming role as well as Swarovski’s importance in the fashion industry. Swarovski is a synonym for “milestone’ and “family’ to her, and we bet each one of its pieces overwhelms her with priceless emotions and memories.
“It’s an honor to join the Swarovski family and to be part of the brand’s long history of bringing elegance to women through brilliant, unique designs. [‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√묨‚àÇ]It’s a brand that I’ve worn on the runway or on red carpets for years and also before I was a model. Some of my first early pieces, from my mother or my grandparents, really special kind of milestone pieces for birthdays or holidays, were Swarovski;’ she declared.
As for Swarovski, Kloss will surely help the label rebrand itself, lessening the distances between the Austrian producer of luxury cut lead glass and the younger audience, especially in North America (Kloss has more than 4.7 million Instagram followers and is hugely acclaimed in both the U.S. and Canada). Swarovski’s willingness to open up to a more digital territory is a breath of fresh air for the industry, and the fact that its headquarters specifically chose someone who is a big tech geek is equally refreshing for Kloss’ fans as well.
“I think the brand has been extremely cautious to move into this territory. I’ve been convinced for some time that it’s the way to go. Now, with Karlie, we have the right fit to move into that space. She feels very comfortable [with digital] because it is part of her,’ said Swarovski’s creative director Nathalie Colin.
The Karlie Kloss x Swarovski partnership will be celebrated tonight in New Nork, in a glamorous party at the Top of the Rock at New York City’s Rockefeller Centre.

London-based eveningwear label Galvan was established in 2014, and has since established a hold in the fashion industry. The label was created by Sola Harrison, Carolyn Hodler, Katherine Holmgren, and Anna-Christin Haas ” four stylish young women, who want to see the world of fashion just a little more sophisticated and elegant. The brand is known for boldly cut designs with surprisingly simple and beautiful construction. The women in this label know how to pull together the worlds of fashion and art, so we’re overjoyed to see that Galvan will get some time in the spotlight.
It has already had its fair share of exposure, dressing red carpet celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence, Sienna Miller, and Rihanna, and the 2016 awards shows will likely be laden with some more stunning designs from Galvan. But that is a matter to be looked at later; there is more pressing news at hand for these four women.
The label has been tapped by the duo of luxury fashion and lifestyle brand Opening Ceremony and the brand that makes everything in the world sparkle, Swarovski, to collaborate on and create a capsule collection for everyone, from the top social elite to everyday shoppers. The Opening Ceremony x Swarovski x Galvan collection will produce a line of ready-to-wear clothes, which will be exclusive to OC, as well as special pieces encrusted by Swarovski, perfect for the red carpet and other starlet events.
Those involved with the collaboration hosted a dinner Wednesday evening, where the styles from the collection were showcased, and Thursday a trunk show was brought to OC’s Los Angeles flagship. It appears everyone involved is getting excited for the release of this collection unto the world.
“Not only is it the epitome of L.A. cool, but the company has also reinvented what fashion means for the modern woman ” both how and where she wears it,’ Galvan CEO Katherine Holmgren told Vogue, in regard to the aesthetic of the OC brand. This is very telling of what we can expect to see from the collection, as it’s totally feasible that the women of Galvan’s eye for elegance and OC’s “cool’ factor will play right off of one another.
According to Opening Ceremony’s website, the looks in the Galvan for Opening Ceremony collection will be suited for any occasion; whether you’re walking the red carpet, or if you’re just watching the festivities. You can be wearing a piece from the collection while you watch celebrities wearing the Swarovski gowns for their respective awards ceremonies.
The most exciting prospect of this whole collaboration is thinking about who will be wearing those Swarovski gowns in the upcoming awards season. It’s something we’ll have to wait and see, but with Galvan’s track record, we can assume we’ll see these numbers on elite starlets walking down the red carpet, perhaps even walking up on stage to receive an award. But let’s be honest; seeing which designers celebrities choose to wear on the red carpet is just as exciting as waiting for the awards announcements! And with a collaboration between Opening Ceremony, Galvan, and Swarovski all in one, I’d place my money on seeing a lot of looks from this collection walking this season.

Swarovski has tapped the famous Australian supermodel, Victoria’s Secret Angel Miranda Kerr, who has been the company’s face since 2013, to collaborate on the design of exclusive jewelry items for the upcoming holiday season. We are amazed at her diligence and ability to manage and combine so many things at once: a mom of a 4-year-old son, a model, designer‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√묨‚àÇ seeing her perfect looks and hard work makes us envious and who wouldn’t like to emulate her? Appearing in so many Swarovski campaigns, Miranda decided to design her own line for the brand and she unveiled the collaboration when attending a press conference in Innsbruck, Austria.
The idea of collaborating with Swarovski creative director Nathalie Colin had formerly been mentioned in May 2014 at a press conference in Australia, Miranda revealed, and the aim was to create products suitable for everyday casual wear. “It’s such a wonderful opportunity to be able to work with a brand that I know and that has such a strong history and has all of these amazing resources, and the technology and the experience,’ Miranda mentioned at a telephone interview with WWD. Featuring two different lines ” Diapason and Duo, the exclusive Miranda Kerr for Swarovski jewelry collection will hit Swarovski stores and counters worldwide in the upcoming season. The pieces will retail for a price range between $69 and $299.
While the Diapason line is more focused on classic designs with a romantic feel bringing clear crystal designs matched with V-shaped and Y-shaped necklaces, the Duo pieces are primarily meant for layering, including necklaces with thin chains and symbol pendants. Miranda will be in lead poses of the holiday campaign shot by Vinoodh Matadin and Inez Lamsweerde, where she wears pieces from Diapason collection along with Stardust Deluxe bracelet and a Crystalline Oval watch. With her gentle warm smile, Kerr looks gorgeous in those Images making us believe that anything would suit her.
The collaboration with Swarovski notes her first try as an accessory designer. Kerr has released her own line of organic cosmetics, called Kora Organics, published self-help books “Empower Yourself’ and “Treasure Yourself’, and she cooperates with chinaware-maker Royal Albert on a tea ware collection. She explained this new cooperation as another extension of her creative side, adding that she enjoys creating items that are both beautiful and meaningful. Not only are the jewelry pieces beautiful, but also the names she has given to the designs are positively cool bringing such categories as Spirit, Strength, Grace, Joy, Luck and Love. There are symbols for each category in the line, like a heart motif standing for Love, a star for Joy, an evil eye for Strength and the like. Miranda’s favorite in the collection? The evil eye, which “is about living your life with confidence’, as the cutie pie explains it herself.
The chief executive officer of the Swarovski consumer goods business, Robert Buchbauer appreciates Miranda for she represents part of company’s values as to stand for innovation, while being fashionable and friendly. Swarovski has planned to go ahead cooperating with Kerr extending the Duo line in 2016 based on the results of the success of the first line, which makes about third of Swarovski’s holiday offering this year. The executive officer is optimistic on the breakthrough of the collection internationally considering the size and prize points.
