Since Selena has worn so many hats at Coach, it was about the time for her to drop clothing pieces with her signature. In an official press release, Gomez revealed that she had so much fun working with the brand’s creative director Stuart Vevers on her own clothing collection. Vevers also admitted that he enjoys designing with Selena because she has ” a strong point of view”. The designer has dressed the 25-year old stunner on multiple occasions. One of Selena’s most memorable style moments is her dreamy Met Gala gown with subtle embellishments, high center slit, and floor-sweeping train. The sublime gown was designed by no other than Coach’s Stuart Vevers.
The Coach x Selena Gomez collection will include ready-to-wear looks, jackets and more accessories that take inspiration from her chic personal style. According to the brand, each piece reflects her “unapologetically confident and powerful feminine spirit”. Selena and Vevers have been working on this collection for months now, but they still haven’t revealed a single look yet. All we got to see so far is the pastel pink piece with a lace trim. Ever since Coach and Selena Gomez announced their collaboration last year, everyone has been patiently awaiting new designs from the American pop singer. Gomez’s first line is finally here and it’s much better than what you’ve imagined. The exclusive collection includes a tote bag, wristlet, a card holder, and bag charms.
“It was really fun to create this collection with Selena and design pieces that are cool and feminine like her,” Stuart Vevers said in a press statement. “When we designed the Selena Grace, it was about exploring the qualities Selena wanted in a bag and creating something that felt personal to her.”
All of the new bags and accessories are a real reflection of Selena’s recognizable style and her femininity. She took Coach’s quality bags and transformed them in her own unique way. That is how the designs got more youthful but stayed very classy at the same time.
The most striking piece in the collection is the Selena Grace tote bag that will be available in three different colors. The first one is “Selena Black Cherry’ that is the black and dark cherry colored one, followed by “Selena White’, and the eye-catching “Selena Red’. There are several special things about this bag. Selena Gomez has just announced her $10-million-worth deal with Coach, which will let her not only design her own exclusive Coach x Selena Gomez line, but also star in several Coach ad campaigns as the luxury label’s brand ambassador.
Many are already comparing this strategy to that of Tommy Hilfiger, who tapped Gigi Hadid as a co-designer and brand ambassador for two times in a row. Given the fact that the first Tommy x Gigi collection received positive feedback, and that the decision of asking her to become the label’s brand ambassador was an overall huge success, we expect the Coach x Selena Gomez deal to follow a similar path.
Like Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez is also not only internationally renowned as a great singer and actress, but can also count on an astounding number of followers on Instagram (she is one of the most followed personalities in the history of Instagram). Louis Vuitton has tapped Selena Gomez as its newest campaign star. Selena is seen posing alongside a model gang for the Louis Vuitton Series 5 fall 2016 campaign, perfectly embodying the brand’s modern spirit.
The 23-year-old popstar is the latest face for the label under Nicolas Ghesqui‚Äö√†√∂¬¨√Üre, ever since her first pose with the designer on a cover of Vogue Brasil a month ago. Gomez posted a picture of the cover on her Instagram as well, foreshadowing, “Exciting things coming with this brilliant man.” This caused for followers to begin guessing that this photo boded a future campaign between Gomez and Louis Vuitton. And now we’re happy to say they were correct!
The photos that have been released to Instagram and Twitter so far are part of the LV Series 5 campaign. The decision to cast Gomez as the leading star is totally grounded in her relationship with the brand, even before the close-quartered Vogue cover was shot.
Gomez has always had an apparent love for the luxury label, as she has recently been spotted at various formal and red carpet events (as well as each and every stop of her “Revival” tour to date) sporting looks from the brand. Even more notably, and recently, Gomez wore a total Vuitton ensemble.
Even despite wearing the brand, the pop singer has been present in the front row at the past four runway shows. So if there was any doubt in your mind as to why she would have been chosen for Louis Vuitton’s fall 2016 campaign, it should be gone now!
So far, five images from the campaign have been released to social media by both Gomez and Ghesqui‚Äö√†√∂¬¨√Üre. From what we can see, the clothes and overall shoot is sophisticated, with youthful modernity coming into the fun patterns and bright colors, among other things.
The first image released in relation to the campaign, for instance, is overpowered by a very large fur trapper hat. Aside from that is a crop top and oversized, fur-trimmed leather jacket, so there are a lot of powerful elements in this photo, and they are complemented by Gomez’s imposing, statuesque demeanor.
Thanks to this campaign, we’re really seeing the mature, high-fashion side that Gomez is turning to. As the new face of a luxury label, and with her journey wearing Vuitton at high fashion events, we have seen her emerge from her label as a Disney star.
Even aside from Vuitton, just her walk with luxury fashion on her tour in general has shown her new, high-fashion makeover self wearing names like Monse and Rodarte while out on the road.
Gomez is the most striking name and face of this campaign, which was shot by photographer Bruce Weber, but it also features models Erika Linder, Jean Campbell, Natalie Westling, and Rianne Van Rompaey.
With these initial images setting a precedent to the rest of the campaign, we can only imagine that the rest of the photos will have this intense level of sophistication from the models and the structure of the garments, with some great layers of fun and youthfulness popping out here and there.

This is the second time for the mega-star to appear in a Coach campaign since she became their leading face. As a part of the new Spring 2018 ads, Selena is rocking many gorgeous outfits and accessories from their latest collection. Stuart Vevers and his muse are always a perfect match.

Steven Meisel’s photography brings a layer of magic to those seemingly everyday situations. The ads celebrate New York and portray Gomez in a chic apartment that oversees the Empire Building. Selena rocks the designs from Coach’s Spring 2018 collection and an array of mesmerizing accessories. She also shows off the new Parker statement bag which is set to release in February. This is a gorgeous design done in fun colors and features two handles. The Parker is already on the list of many trendsetters. Gomez wears the brand’s modern embellished slip-on dresses, glittery boots, sparkling rings, and necklaces as well as dramatic heels. The entire promotional campaign is a tribute to the late pop-artist Keith Haring.
The ad material was shot by the renowned photographer Steven Meisel, who also worked on Selena’s first photo shoot with the brand. Coach opted for the winning team that has worked on their campaigns many times before. The legendary Pat McGrath is responsible for Selena’s makeup, Guido Palau for the hair, Karl Templer appears as the stylist and Fabien Baron is the creative director. McGrath kept the makeup very minimal and set accent on the brows and the lips. Since the designs from the Spring 2018 collection are statement-making, they don’t need an eye-catching makeup or hairstyle.
This high-end partnership was announced in December 2016. Since then, Gomez has been flaunting Stuart’s designs everywhere she goes. Starting from her Met Gala 2017 gorgeous gown, to her laid-back jeans and jacket combos, Selena is a huge fan of the brand. According to the singer her first designer item, she’s ever bought was Coach. In August, she debuted her first bag and accessory collection for the luxury fashion house.
