It’s always about opulence in Zuhair Murad’s collections. The Lebanese designer presented his Fall 2018 Couture lineup filled with heavy embellishments, rich fabrics, and colors. You simply can’t divide couture from Zuhair Mourad. Glam and extravaganza are in the brand’s DNA and what the designer knows best. The Fall 2018 Couture collection is everything you’ve expected and more.
For his Resort 2018 Collection, Zuhair Murad focused more on the everyday wear. But that doesn’t mean that he didn’t implement his recognizable glow and glamor. Rich lace, embroideries, embellishments and colorful fabrics are always a must-have in Zuhair’s collections. This collection is the perfect example of his limitless creativity and eye for detail.
For the Resort 2018 collection, Murad opted for beautiful lace in pink, black, deep red and several shades of blue. When it comes to patterns and embroidery, there are a lot of options. The designs are enriched with multicolored floral embroideries, stunning castles in the clouds, and millions of stars and starbursts. One of the most eye-catching patterns is the unicorn one.
Zuhair Murad designed a collection that has two completely different sides. One of them is dark, predominantly colored in black and dark blue hues. The other one, has a very gentle and soft note, with bright colors such as pink, baby blue, and orange.
The collection can also be divided into two more parts. There are super-elegant and breath-taking dresses, that are reserved for the red carpet. The other part is presented with pieces that are not red carpet material but are meant to be worn every day.
It is impossible to point out the most beautiful piece in a Zuhair Murad collection. In the everyday section, Murad has the perfect pants, skirts, blazers, and shirts for the contemporary working woman. A magnificent belted embellished jacket, and a dark blue trench coat, with sleeves made of lace, are one of the most prominent designs in this section.
One of the most romantic gowns in the collection is the astonishing V-neck, long-sleeved dress with embroideries of unicorns, trees, stars, and nymphs. The amazing patterns are hard to miss. The designer used the same patterns on an elegant mini dress and a classy chiffon blouse.
The designer also included several of his fabulous jumpsuits in the Resort 2018 Collection. All of them are dripping in embellishments. A deep red, pleated and wide-leg jumpsuit is one of the biggest standouts in the collection.
The Lebanese designer is famous for his whimsical and glamorous creations, that rule many red carpets. His haute couture designs are worn by celebrities such as Jenifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Katy Perry and much more. His Resort 2018 Collection is as powerful and as beautiful as all of his previous work.

The Zuhair Murad fall/winter 2017-2018 ready-to-wear collection brought a lot of fall contemporary looks out that are perfect for nearly any occasion. Cute little dresses, gowns, perfect work attire, very glamour ‘see and be seen’ outerwear and incredible workmanship were seen from the beginning to the end of the runway presentation with not a single misstep regarding the design.
Embellishments of beautifully, richly colored florals over sheers, accented with beading and feathers made an incredible choice to close the show. The textures created in his gowns are amazing, some including sheer ruffles and beading on already textured flowing skirts, feathers that float along the bottom of the gown and catch every whisper of air with each movement and even lace fringe adorning tiers of a long skirt.
There was actually quite a bit of lace used in Zuhair Murad’s fall 2017 collection ” unsurprising given that lace is always popular, but the interesting details that he embellished the lace with in certain tops were mind-blowing. Aesthetically Zuhair Murad’s clothes always seem a bit daring and dramatic without creating the appearance of an attention-starving individual. Rather his clothes draw attention due to the flattering nature of their design and the embellishments that are easy to appreciate as beautifully done.
Zuhair Murad is a personal favorite for a lot of reasons. Each season he shows a beautiful collection that exemplifies understanding of the female form, incredible tailoring, elegance, chicness and drama (always the perfect amount of drama) with stunning blends and well coordinated outfits. His use of color is never overbearing and always interesting and unique, and the embellishments are fantastic in how they are chosen, placed and implemented.
Zuhair Murad’s clothes are always trendy with just enough difference to set a person apart in a room full of trendsetters. He has a perfect sense of balance and his collections, every beautiful one, reflect this balance. The Zuhair Murad fall/winter 2017-18 collection is no different, providing a variety of silhouettes and featuring rich colors ” pops of marigold and lavender, lots of black and white, shades of teal, and rich blue and green embroidery.
One of the most amazing and really wearable looks in the Zuhair Murad fall 2017 collection was the blue and green floral embellished leather jacket paired with the similarly embroidered skinny black jeans. The jacket was completely magnificent and holds steady as a great option even amongst his other outerwear pieces, tailored jackets and black and white fur coats, a stunning hooded black cape a black lace detailed floor-length coat.
The ensembles were inescapably amazing; every look was full of details to keep the eye interested even in the black on black ensembles. A black skirt trimmed and embellished in leather was beautiful with the velvet lace accented cape. This was another excellent, successful show for Zuhair Murad.

Zuhair Murad drew inspiration from a Japanese pyrotechnics display for his spring 2017 couture collection on January 25. The inspiration showed up very literally in some prints and slightly more subtly in the silhouettes. The firework prints were brilliant explosions of color that were just photos of the pyrotechnics printed on the fabric. The color was saturated and bold, so between the quality and color the pieces kept looking luxurious and expensive.
One dress, a black gown with a high slit showed how striking the print could be. It came across as being novel without being gaudy, which is impressive considering the non-elegant print Murad was working with.
Other couture eveningwear on the Zuhair Murad Couture spring 2017 runway took inspiration from the colors of fireworks, and the entire presentation unfolded like a story. Black and white pieces began the collection, just like the night sky, then red was introduced, followed by fuchsia, pale purple, emerald green, and blue, before ending in a series of white garments complete with a finale bridal gown.
The overall color story shows a slow motion rendition of the colors a firework explodes into when released into a dark night sky, so it’s a stunning visual even without the prints directing you right to the firework theme.
Volume in some silhouettes also helped contribute to the firework theme. Voluminous shoulders were common, especially at the beginning. In fact, the first dress to walk the runway was a semi-sheer mini option with tulle ruffles on the exterior from wrist to wrist.
Fireworks weren’t the only things on Murad’s mind, however. He also cited the TV series “Dynasty’ as a source of inspiration for the silhouettes. By looking at all of the extravagant skirts, ruffles, and bow details, the connection is easy to see. The glitz and glamour notable throughout the Zuhair Murad Couture spring/summer 2017 collection could easily fall in either of those categories, so they are sources of inspiration that tie together very easily.
But the point, which brought everything together, was sparkle and glitz. In some garments, glimmer was embedded into the fabrics themselves with shining threads and thin embellishments woven directly into the pieces; others used bolder embellishments or entire garments made of sequined fabric for a less subtle approach; accessories like belts and earrings gave the final doses of sparkle, as did the extravagant tiara, in the case of the luxe bridal gown!
Speaking of the bridal gown, it stayed true to the theme of the line and flowed cohesively with the other silhouettes in the line. The silver detailing worked well as a supplement to the firework theme, but without context you might not even connect the silver pattern to pyrotechnics at all. The model was styled with a glowing pale face, like a regal ice queen, so it’s styled here as a superb winter bridal gown.
A notable red gown had an exceptionally high slit in the front, which added to the drama of the ruffled satin skirt as it swept the floor. Paired with a plunging neckline covered by thin mesh and surrounded by loose sequins, there was a lot of skin showing while also maintaining a demure mood in an intriguing illusion. It’s dresses like this that make it so exciting waiting to see what celebrities will be wearing from the runways to different formal events in the coming months!
The green and blue pieces were just as jaw-dropping, as was any other color presented in the runway lineup. Red might not be the most red carpet-friendly color, so it’s exciting to know that there are so many other dramatic, elegant options in other colors more suited to those types of events.
It’s an interesting thing to note, that all of the designs here were passable back when “Dynasty’ took place, in the ’80s, as well as today, as seen in result events like the inaugural ball, not to mention red carpet appearances. There’s something so timeless about the dresses here, even the more abstract details that are so fitting for awards season.

Zuhair Murad‘s pre-fall 2017 collection had the expected amount of flair and sparkle in a great new collection that still happened to have plenty of nostalgia. Represented in the collection are the design sparking inspirations of Chinese embroidery and graphics and the out there fashions of the ’80s.
The use of very ’80s style tulle, organza, lame and lace embellished with flowers and swirls and beautiful birds with sparkle strategically placed all over, is absolutely beautiful. The marriage of textures and styles was strange, but it works beautifully from top to bottom on every ensemble. Zuhair Murad’s collections always bring the perfect mix of drama and glamour in perfect cuts and silhouettes to flatter the female form.
There is a lot of contrast play involved in the Zuhair Murad pre-fall 2017 collection. The contrast between textures is evident on denim pants with embroidery and beading, multiple layered skirts, accentuating ruffles and intricate cuts. Even the stockings have textures!
A lot of the shoes were black with bright shiny pink, perfectly placed ruffles, and there were also ruffles on other shoes. Overall the collection has a bit of whimsy to it, but equal amounts of edge and class. The sheer panels offer another point for the eye to be drawn to, adding a sultry element without diminishing the level of chicness in the designs and the overall feel that has brought back customers season after season.
Something that is often overlooked is the pants. The Zuhair Murad pre-fall 2017 collection has pink tuxedo pants with black tuxedo stripes, well fit tailored black pencil pants and wide legged, high waisted pink pants that stand out beautifully.
The difference in Zuhair Murad collections and others is the amount of detail and contrast that never overpowers the final intention to provide beautiful clothes that look incredible on his clients. The tailoring looks excellent from every angle, adding a touch of volume in the shoulders and skirts. The movement and volume built into the ensembles is in more than just the skirts of some looks. Several of the tops and the shoes are embellished with floating layers and ruffles.
The transition between looks is cohesive and the color scheme ” black and pink ” is amazing and intriguing. Though no one could ever accuse Zuhair Murad of designing with a palette lacking in color, with this type of dual color set he really made an impressive collection that was built on a base of pink, black, textures and shapes.
The sparkle was as beautifully placed as it has been in each of Zuhair Murad’s collections. Everything was wonderfully cut. It is for all of these reasons that Zuhair Murad has a strong and committed following that grows each season.

Filled with dreamlike princess gowns, the newest Zuhair Murad fall 2017 bridal collection is one of Murad’s most elaborate lineups, with cascades of gemstones and crystals enhancing each one of the silhouettes.
To capture his Zuhair Murad fall 2017 bridal collection in its entirety, the fashion designer asked Leticia Guedes to model the lineup’s lookbook, which got captured by Canadian-Lebanese photographer Rabee Younes. Zuhair Murad often enlists Younes as his lookbooks’ photographer, and just by looking at this specific bridal lookbook, it is not that hard to understand why.
Both Guedes and Younes worked together to perfectly recreate the Zuhair Murad fall 2017 bridal collection’s theme, which was the idea of finding simplicity “despite the intricacy of the work’.
Although almost all of the proposals feature exquisitely beaded fabrics, rich floral embroideries and oversized ruffles aplenty, each of the staples couldn’t be described as too extravagant or flamboyant, as Murad’s simplicity lies within the figures, regardless of the adornments used.
Packed with an incredible amount of sheer fabrics and appliqués, the Zuhair Murad fall 2017 bridal collection’s references are, in fact, both close to the boho-chic style, as well as to the classic “Hollywood diva’ one, with glamorous mermaid figures alternating the fairytale-like flared ones. It is thus easily possible to find both traditional classics and more risqué wedding dresses in the lineup, as Zuhair Murad played with plunging V-necklines that show a lot of skin, as well as with pieces that definitely cover up more.
The overall style is, however, incredibly dramatic, with structured ruffles and sculpted bodices that inevitably make everything extremely close to haute couture.
Overskirts, sparkling capes, free-flowing trains and high-neck collars got filtered through Murad’s artisanal lens, which always manages to combine effortlessly chic figures (such as mermaid silhouettes) with more contemporary patterns (like sleek fabrics).
Compared to the previous Zuhair Murad spring 2017 bridal collection, which was equally beyond gorgeous as well, this fall 2017 lineup is more textured, heavier in styles as well as designs, although this one does not compromise the timeless aesthetics of the proposals, or their dreamlike allures.
As for the best part of the Zuhair Murad bridal fall 2017 collection, the convertible gowns surely are the best option for all those brides who could not wait to take off their voluminous layers and find themselves wearing something lighter, which would make it much easier to dance the night away!

Zuhair Murad brought glam drama to Paris Fashion Week with the spring/summer 2017 ready-to-wear collection. Everything in the collection is amazing, intricately detailed and beautifully put together. The collection was shown at the Eighth Arrondissement in a mirrored showroom to put every angle of the looks on display where Zuhair Murad revealed that if he is “always repeating myself, there’s no challenge,’ furthering that “it’s motivating to do something out of the ordinary.’
There are metal belts, see-through patterns, sheer panels dressed with sequins and embroidery galore. The accessories are insane catching the light from every angle in over embellished earrings and ear cuffs and stack and shaped rings throughout Zuhair Murad’s collection.
For those who like to be seen, this is the collection for you. Peplum and slinky silhouettes work together for a mainstream look that will be acceptable to a wide variety of people although they will look very individualistic in these outfits, no matter where they stand. Every look is perfect to be photographed in and great for any red carpet event.
The patterns are mesmerizing without being ‘too much’ and every piece is real wearable, which is not always the case when there is a lot of glam and drama involved. Thigh-high slits can be overpowering when done incorrectly, yet this is repeated in several looks in the collection but does not seem to be more than another beautiful detail.
Peplum is shown on more than one ensemble, but they do not appear the same. Each look is obviously very different meaning that there are well over 40 individual, standout jaw-droopingly gorgeous ensembles to choose from.
For those who prefer a pants set there are several to choose from that have sequin details over sheer panels ” a stunning detail that is certain to receive a lot of due love. The super detailed patterns are created with sequins, pinholes for a cool see-through design that had to be planned out and obsessively carried out for such a perfect look.
The craftsmanship is so elaborate and well done that it is literally awe-inspiring. There are so many fantastic silhouettes that are in this collection that whatever your comfort level or personal style you are able to find something that will suit you.
Zuhair Murad’s spring/summer 2017 ready-to-wear collection is by far one of the best lineups to show during Paris Fashion Week, edging across the line of glamor and drama and blending the line together. This is especially obvious with the gowns and the caped pantsuit in look 39. These looks are so well done that they do not lock out certain ages, which can happen sometimes with certain embellishments.
Everything in this collection is impressive and breathtaking and has been noted as such across the board. It is so easy to find a look that is breathtaking for any personal style, as the attention to detail has obviously been incredibly focused. Any movie or television show that heavily features fashion in the way that Sex and the City did, for example, would likely showcase one of these pieces.

As expected, the Zuhair Murad Couture fall/winter 2016-2017 collection on the Paris Couture Fashion Week was spectacular. The Lebanese designer is world-renowned and with each season, it only seems to be getting better. While some designers make their couture collections look more like ready-to-wear, Murad takes the opposite approach.
Time and again we have been stunned senseless by the sheer work and magnificence of creation that goes into the ready-to-wear, let alone his couture looks that certainly stun the world’s most fashion savvy. The flowing capes, the sheer jumpsuits, the whole free spirited ’70s vibe‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√묨‚àÇ we fell in love from the moment the first model stepped foot onto the runway.
The first few pieces came out in black lacing, showing off the curves of the body while giving the ladies a rather chic fairy tale villain attitude. The velvet capes with the jet beaded fringes are certainly a piece we require in our wardrobes, the hats equally entrancing in the manner, which we all got a highwayman feel out of it all.
The barely there embroidery allowed for maximum exposure while still maintaining a high degree of decorum, where once we got into colors the fun never ceased to end. Boho chic at its best, the Zuhair Murad Couture fall 2016 collection is very hard to choose a favorite from, as we enjoyed the dusty rose coloring of some of the gowns, the lovely aubergine of the others, with some blush, and moss and lovely blue hues appearing later in the mix.
Add in some gold, some silver, some sleeves and thigh-high boots, some slits, some sequins, and a whole lot of camouflage handiwork and you get the 53 pieces that make up one of the best lineups on the couture fashion week for the fall and winter.
Zuhair Murad never ceases to amaze and impress, no matter what he decides to include among his works. Whether we are looking at sequined pantsuits or accessories including chokers, colored felt hats and wide belts, there is always something new around the corner that never fails to make a woman feel utterly feminine while she basks in the luxury of incredible beauty and sheer perfection of material.
The final piece of the night is a voluminous gown in a champagne hue, studded with embroidered beading and falling off the shoulders to show off décolletage, the train and matching crown bringing us the illusion of a fairy tale princess. We will have to admit though, that while gowns are lovely beyond belief, in the modern world, the golden lace jumpsuit with the flowing cape and plunging V neckline is just about exactly what will be turning heads during those fabulous celebrations you will be attending over the fall and winter seasons.
We look forward to seeing what the talented artist has to provide for us over the course of the coming seasons as well. The creations are certainly made with the luxury loving wealthy woman in mind.

Opulence at its purest and a suitcase full of clothes to wear on the wildest nights while driving through the Route 66, the newest Zuhair Murad fall/winter 2016-2017 ready-to-wear collection may have been showcased at the H‚Äö√†√∂¬¨‚Ä¢tel Plaza Athénée at Paris Fashion Week, but surely has its heart in the USA. The collection features everything you have ever wished to wear while partying hard at a glam rock club in L.A. or while drinking a glass of champagne in Las Vegas or even, why not, when attending a fancy chic pool party in Miami. Some of the outfits unveiled could just be perfect to wear to any edgy salon in New York City.
Zuhair Murad’s opulence is particularly vivid thanks to the incredibly rich in texture garments, wherein fur got combined with silk, velvet, sensual lace embroideries and even risqué see-through patterns (which we bet will go quickly sold-out among many celebrities). Edgy leather designs, on the other hand, inevitably contribute to reinforcing the whole glam-rock vibe of the collection, as they got mixed with pleated skirts, marine-inspired jackets and ankle boots as well.
Overall curve-hugging, the fabrics used for the collection help delicately wrap the figures too, especially when featuring sensual overalls with lace floral embroideries or wide belts. Entitled by many as ‘Biker Baroque’, Zuhair Murad’s autumnal style in nothing but pure sensuality and self-confidence, and this could be also due to the Las Vegas-inspired proposals that remind of Cher’s looks in the Nineties. Mini wrap dresses, dramatic fringed gowns and sheer Chantilly lace frocks could be closely linked to most of the Nineties divas’ looks, as they effortlessly celebrate any woman’s figure.
The Zuhair Murad fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection isn’t, however, just about the Nineties, as for being able to celebrate the L.A. rocker subcultures it clearly needed some Eighties motifs too. And that’s precisely where the ‘Biker Baroque’ pattern comes magnificently out with all its androgynous proposals, squared bolero jackets, deep squared necklines and, of course, super-skinny leather pants as well.
Given the fact that both the Eighties and Nineties were the collection’s main sources of inspiration, the color palette is unavoidably dark meaning that black is almost the sole protagonist. However, it’s possible to spot both gloomy gauzy attire options and minuscule colorful patters such as floral motifs throughout the whole collection, not to mention the sultry transparencies that help lighten the many total-black proposals. Murad left enough room to showcase his abilities with solid-colored fancy dresses as well, proposing the collection’s initial patters even in cobalt blue, blush pink and burgundy.
In the end, we may rightly state that Zuhair Murad definitely tried to reinvent his signature patterns, however remaining true to his signature femininity and grace (and that’s not that easy for sure!).

We have said it time and again and we shall say it once more: the Lebanese are truly gifted in their fashion sense. Throughout the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, we have seen a struggle between the truly couture and that which simply passes as such because of the need to market to a larger audience. While we agree that selling the creations is certainly quite important, it is equally as such not to lose sight of what constitutes couture: the artistry of it all. To this end, the Zuhair Murad Couture spring/summer 2016 collection unveiled exquisite designs that are so artistic and couture, while also promising to sell well!
Where some designers did not quite succeed in moving away from ready-to-wear, others such as Valentino, Viktor & Rolf, and more, have been able to capture the essence of the week and present to us a show that is not likely to be forgotten anytime soon. As per usual, the Lebanese stick to the top, with Elie Saab and the incredible Zuhair Murad holding top positions for their ability to balance the sheets, so to say, and bring us sheer beauty that will shine like a diamond on the red carpet, worn by the cream of the crop.
It is really hard to describe the 51-piece long Zuhair Murad Couture spring 2016 collection. We shall try though. Every name in the book, from dazzling to astounding, stunning, alluring, amazing, striking, fabulous, magnificent, enthralling and brilliant come to mind, though. The Zuhair Murad looks are near impossible to replicate, at least not in the same charm and beauty, with the same captivating essence, should it become necessary for whatever reason. The artist is one and only and his works are for the stars who shine as bright as his clothing looks do.
Long gowns or short birdcage dresses, organza skirts and slits up the thigh, long sleeved body suits and purely white pantsuits, all come in a single package of awesome. We see nymphs from the forests and modern day princesses, sophistication and flirty fun all mixed in at once. We find silver belts and lovely headwear, golden strap sandals and embroidered lace running across the décolletage and down the arms.
Actually, we can easily say now that the long sleeve trend is huge and plans to stick around for a long while yet. As for another trend, we have noticed the candy colors in pastel, other than the coral pink, and have fallen in love all over again. Who would not, with the lilac grays and the pale pink, the stark whites and sunshine yellows, each color seen on lace giving you more food for thought. Yellow or grey? Pink or blue? Just grab them all and be done with it.
The Zuhair Murad Couture spring/summer 2016 collection is positively exquisite, meaning that nearly every piece is going on our wish list and we hope some wealthy people out there decide to give us some Zuhair Murad gifts…
